A certain amount of your friends have to sign up for something, like a magazine subscription. It's still a rip off.

You will get a referral link after you sign up that you can give out to people. Once 12 people click on that link and sign up for an offer (which probably costs around $40) you get a free iphone. Don't forget you have to sign up for an offer also, when you click on the person who referred you link.

It's technically not a scam, it is a pyramid scheme. You will have to subscribe to something for about $40, and get 12 other people to do it also. That is the absolute minimum you can do. They also sometimes get you by sending you the iPod/phone early, and charging you double it's price, and you will only get your money back if you get the referrers.

You can get away without paying anything on some of the sites, but everyone of the people you referred still will have to pay.

As said above, the collective financial gain by the funder of that iPhone is much larger than what your 20 friends (or whatever number of referral it takes) benefit from, because they have carefully calculated most people can't get the correct number of referrals anyways.

 

 

 

These aren't scams, but honestly, it's just not worth the time (unless you actually have a huge subscriber base/readers who you could send this to). The owner of that site benefits much more than you do. Usually most of the offers also require you to buy some junk product for $5 to $20 as well.
