How often do they drop D chains?

they are super super rare.

 

 

 

my friend trained to 99 range there killed over 18k dust devils with no d chain drop.

not much like 1/5000

wow, I guess I will have to make a few trips, their other drops are pretty good too, got a bunch of ranarrs, rune arrows, etc

Its really completely random, people go there expecting never to get one and get one withing a few minutes while other people go there expecting to get one but end up killing 20k without a chain.

no one can tell you how often for drops like D chains as the drop rates are tweaked by jagex quite often.

been killing them all last night and all day, no d chain.

The drop rate I've heard most oftenthat makes sense is 1/10,000. Ive also heard drop rate off Kalphite Queen is 1/100, if you want to check that out. :
