Should I do the quest to unlock the Jade Vine minigame if I want the slayer exp for killing the wild jade plant?

 

 

 

Is it difficult/lengthy to kill the Vine (since I know you need an axe, and I can only use a rune one, since I don't want to spend 3m+ on a dragon one)?

 

 

 

What prayer should I use to kill it (it uses melee and magic)?

 

 

 

And finally ... Should I always pay Horacio the 10 wildblood hops to watch over my plant?

yes

 

 

 

it's easy enough

 

 

 

pro melee, wear hides, it's not a tough battle, and gets easier the lower it's hp gets

 

 

 

mine have never died, but those hops are welll easy to grow so, your call - i don't bother.

My vine hardly ever dies and I'm too cheap and lazy to even use normal compost rofl :XD: Buy some super composts from GE (I don't know if they sell there, maybe they do. If not make your own and use normal ones or nothing in the mean while) and use those, with super compost I assume it'd be very rare for it to die, making all the trouble to get those other seeds pretty useless.

Yes, very good constant exp boost. It's practically growing exp lamps once you get the hang of killing it :P (Slayer only lamps though :wink: )

No, if you can use chivalry or piety with a super att/str you'll rip it apart, even with a rune axe (I use rune and easily kill it, even when I didn't have piety). It shouldn't take terribly long to kill one, no longer then it would take to range 1-2 black demons (If using piety/super sets)

I'm pretty sure melee pray with hides is best from the frequent melee attacks. Remember to use your best offensive prayers (remember there's a church right next to the place) and bring an anti pot.
