just some defence question...

I heard that your magic level affects how much another magic attack will splash or damage among other things, so I was wondering if the same would be with your range level.

Also, does your real defence level also help defend against melee, magic range attacks.

Does your str/att level also affect your defence according to the styles used by your opponent??

I will need a definite answer;links would be helpful.

From what ive heard, magic attacks from magical monsters is 70% based on your magic level. While 30% is based on your defence skill. I don't think that having high magic helps, in getting less hits. But i think it reflects it, as in ignore the attack.

I don't know about range, but if it's like that range skill helps in defending against range attacks too, then i don't see the point in defence skill..

By the way i am 99 defence.

I can confirm that, I don't know if those percentages are correct but magic definitely has more influence then defence levels.

Definitely not.

Yes, it helps against all, though it's not as influential versus magic.

Definitely not.

I just remember then one guy explained then from your magic level depends your magic hit rate, like with highter you make less splashes

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.

Yes, your total magic defence is build up from your equipment, your magic level and your defence level. (Source)

No, ranged levels or att/str levels won't increase your defence against these types of attacks, only your defence levels and your equipment will.

Defence skill is doing the most of the work while range is helping a little bit.....But that is not so much....So i don't see the point getting high range for more defence...If you see my point :|
