Hunting? BEWARE! (a tip)

Featured Replies

Heres a little tip, for when you're hunting.

If a person wants you to leave a hunting spot, they sometimes plant a mithril seed underneath of you or start making a snowman there. Annoying isn't it? You can do something about it.

This is a reportable offense! I have sent in a query to Jagex and they replied saying that this is a form of bug abuse! If someone does this to you, don't hesitate to report them.

How does this mess up hunting?

"You cannot lay your trap here"

Why do people do this?

To make you leave your spot.

Here I am, posing amidst the lovely snowman nubs that a nice little noob has given me.

Someone should tell everyone, nobody knows you can report them.

I've decided it's my job.

I only experienced this once. He set up flowers everywhere except where he put up his traps. You can just watch when chinchompas go to their trap and then set it up while they are picking up their trap. It is easy to get your trap down before they set up there's and they will quickly find that 200 ea for flowers can quickly add up (this was before the Christmas update, so it won't work as well with snow.

Have you got proof of contact with Jagex like a screen shot or something?

This isn't a bug because this was purposefully programmed into the game and it just shows how much Jagex customer support know/care.

I recommend not reporting anyone for this unless it is announced on the runescape website.

Snow was never ment to hinder skills.

The way I countered this was laying traps, and not collecting te chompas, causing them to wait like 5 min. Then the snowglobe and flower planters all died

So jagex created the snowglobe with the intentions of ruining hunting locations? Of course!

Its doing it intentionally to prevent others from laying their traps. some do it because they're too lazy to find a world. some do it just to annoy others.

I'm not much of a hunter, but i know people who get annoyed by this and it makes me happy knowing they have some line of defence.

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :(
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.

Lol?

Dang, this would be a fun prank to pull on serious hunters.

I don't really think it's against the rules...

Jagex hasn't said that it's a bug as far as I know, So I suggest you ask jagex if it is so people don't use this 'guide' and get banned...

Just wondering, did you bother to read the guide? The bug is that snow stops you from setting traps. And about your earlier post, do you really think Jagex made the snowglobes with the intention of making hunting harder?

it is bug abuse i have seen somany people talking about it so i take this as fact report them anyway just cause they are rude or better yet take a msb and arrows and when they do it make sure they dont get a chin

I always thought that it was bug abuse. Thanks for the clarification :D
