Fusionxx
Whats with the Market Crash, is it the Ge and trade thing or Summoning anticipation? Perhaps a bit of both? For Example: Santa 14m Red mask 28m Its like going back in time. Reason for me Asking is because I bought a santa for 15.5m a few days ago, and was somewhat stunned to see it drop to 14m so soon. Ah well, Its a neat hat. :D

Knotch_Blade
Battleboy, attend a formal language class before posting another well, post. I have to pronunciate what you write, then I have to think what an ape with its brain bashed out with a frying pan would sound like saying that. Then I have to un-bash the brains into an ape and put him through a few million years of evolution to even catch a glimpse of what an normal human being would say. Well, glad I got that flame-fest over with. @ OP, Rares and their price dropped drastically with the end of "Dueling/Staking". With the Grand Exchange release and any and all items (in demand) available for everyone at set prices the Rares dropped more without the Merchanter's effect. They continue to drop with what I assume is higher levels selling off their rares cheap and quitting. magicmagicy
Rares are not dropping. The gp is increasing in value.
Azn_Panthera
Rares are not dropping. The gp is increasing in value. I'm guessing that means Deflation? This is what happens when you spread joy? (My Friend on 12:01 AM January 1st 2008)
RichieMcD
Basically due to the trade update all rare merchanters have sold their rares which have now flooded the market. Its simple supply and demand, the demand is the same while the supply has hugely increased thus lowering the prices. Rares have been steadily going down in price since the staking update but the trade update was the final blow. It will now be very hard for rares to appreciate in value thus less people also buying them for investments.
Hedgehog
Basically stakers sold their rares putting more in the market. Also less people have enough money to buy rares (like pk'ers or other people whose main money makers were destroyed). That means more supply and less demand; a major recipe for disaster. magicmagicy
Basically stakers sold their rares putting more in the market. Also less people have enough money to buy rares (like pk'ers or other people whose main money makers were destroyed). That means more supply and less demand; a major recipe for disaster. This may be true before, but that was a long time ago. It's already been, i think 1 month since that update came out, staker's have already long sold all their rares so that is not the problem. The problem is deflation. When only a single item starts falling in price, it is not deflation, but if many items all start decreasing in price, that is deflation. Of course this is going to end very soon because of the 3k update, and you should expect rares to stay the same or decrease ever so slowly.(as fast as GE would allow)
