Jagex was stopping RWT, and?

you know, it's the players who have caused f2p to be "bad," not jagex. If people could ever just follow rules, we'd still have a functional trading system.

You sir do not know the internet well if you think that everyone will follow rules. There is NOWHERE online that everyone follows rules, its just the unspoken law of the internet. It is EXPECTED that there will be rule breakers, but jagex isnt a good enough company to try and do something that wont hurt innocent players.

Pretty much, jagex just switched to communism. This item costs this much, you may not trade more then 3k over the items price. You may not have free pking in a large area. You may not recieve the items from a player dieing. Starting to see my point here? You do realize what happens when you switch to communism right? It falls to the ground. Even IF pking was still around, taking away free market is just unthinkable. They are idiots.

So no, its not the players fault. Its jagexs fault, because they are incapable of using their brains to come up with a better solution then eliminating a major part of the game. I'd much rather be dealing with RWTers then not having free trade. Hell all the money I made in game pretty much was from merchanting, which is why I'm glad I dont play rs anymore.

Calling it Communism is a bit extreme. I'd like to see you come up with a better solution to the RWTing that is now predominantly gone

Jagex doesn't control the market. We do, just not in the way we used to. They monitor how much the majority of the trade prices that people pay in a given item, then raise or lower the price do to that.

The only flaw in the GE is that it's impossible for their small team to check GE prices so the prices in some items is off.

nope, your wrong. Lobsters have been at 201 gp (the lowest price) and have been there for several weeks, even though tens of thousands of lobsters are sold there at that price every day, and even more just sit there with no one to buy them. whatever happened to the GE "automaticly updating" its self?

Making F2p Worse to make P2p look better:: I know it sounds crazy but...

We'll I was thinking about the recent updates and we'll, I really think F2p has gone down hill. I know what your thinking, "so has P2p" you say, we'll yes it has but you are going to get so many improvements. Meanwhile F2p is stuck with the mess it's in now. I know this is a stretch but runescape is relative and as someone once said "it's not how good you have it, it's how much better you have than other's"-or something like that.

You're completely right here. F2P is no longer fun, so get members? But wait, I DID find it fun before these updates! If P2P was affected similarly, then why should I be paying $5 a month for something I probably won't enjoy?

if u dont like the updates and stop playing

Jagex did not kill RWT.

Jagex attempted to kill RWT.

There are still two ways that I know of that people still RWT.

I personally don't RWT but I know that both of them work effectively.

Sorry to burst your bubble

And would you like to enlighten us with those ways?

Selling accounts and powerleveling on already existing accounts.

This will get murdered soon enough. The joys of IP addresses and UIDs.

But anyway, I feel that Jagex did a great thing by trying to stop real world item traders. They slowed down a criminal organization that stole credit card numbers, you name it! They are like a lighter version of the mafia in a sense. Let's just learn to adapt. I'm sure all of you can do that. In fact, one of the characteristics of living things include adaptation. So, any human being can do so.

Yep. I adapted, all right. Right out of Runescape and into WoW.
If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system.

Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.

The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."

The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

It is the price ceilings and floors, comrades! Here in the U.S.S.R.S., we have no need for a free market! Let the capitilistic pigs of other MMORPGs wallow in their filth of freedom!

Before I say anything, I'd like to point out that all the "We'll" should be spelt without the apostrophe  We'll is a conjunction and means we will.

Anyways, I think that most of the cases you pointed out are true, but I do believe that this makes both f2p and p2p look worse. However, f2p really has gotten better after the release of the wildy capes and this new upcoming skill, summoning. Also, there are positive sides to the updates. Less to no scamming, less to no begging, and simplified trading. Also, f2p has had the addition of a duel arena. Overall, I think the two balance out and I think that there isn't much change.
