Well after seeing Abyssal_Whip's solo of Armadyl with 74(or 76) range I figured I wanted to give it a go and get myself a hilt.

Things to KNOW:

 

 

 

I will get 90+ range. (Working on at least 90 before I go)

 

I have 70m to spend on supplies.

 

I have access to every mode of Transportation and item (thats not more than 70m :-# )

 

I have been to GW's before. Both Zammy and Bandos, so guides to GW really arn't necessary unless there is a solo guide.

 

 

 

Things I'd like to know:

 

 

 

1- Can I do it with 90 range and 66 prayer?

 

2- Should I raise prayer to do it better?

 

3- Can I do it effectively? (kill Kree and the generals at least once per run)

 

4- What is a good Invent and Equipment?

It will be at least 2 months or so BEFORE, I even make an attempt at it. So I will come up with more questions and keep this bumped as time goes on.

i've done it a few times without much problems with 90 range 70 pray, so it will def be possible with your stats. Higher prayer will of course help, but as long as you have protect from range it's doable.

 

 

 

As for tactics, as long as you get the boss trapped behind one of the generals, you wont get hit a huge amount. it's more about endurance than taking high damage as it takes a long time to kill taking constant lowish hits. Therefore, best inventory setup is lots of brews.

As soon as i enter the room i stand in the nearest corner, and everytime so far kree'arra has got itself trapped. I'm not quite sure on what to do if he starts meleeing you, i'd guess it's best to run to the opposite end of the room.

I havnt solod armadyl before so dont take my word as a firs person experience but i do know alot of people who have so i will answer the questions the best i can.

 

 

 

1- Can I do it with 90 range and 66 prayer? Yes you should be able to do it with 90 range quite well. TTBOMK there is not much of a difference in hitting terms between 90 and 99

 

2- Should I raise prayer to do it better? The only upside i can see to you raising your prayer to 70+ is you could use piety for its 25% def boost which could be quite helpful, it will also last longer which is always helpful

 

3- Can I do it effectively? (kill Kree and the generals at least once per run) TTBOMK you could definitely get at least 1 kill done a run, possibly even 2 with those stats

 

4- What is a good Invent and Equipment? I cant really help you here but if you check lugia and sxqpowers rate this arma solo hilt drop they both include a inventory and equipment screen so you could just take a look there considering they have alot of soloing experience.

I'd say Crystal Bow. A fully charge one is so much stronger, more accurate, and faster not to mention.

I enjoy using emerald bolts. You can get 5+ of them on you at once. Poison them all, and keep switching who you attack, the poison damage really seems to add up and carves a few minutes off KC time.

Mith or emerald (e) bolts are best. If you use a bolt pouch you can load it with ruby, diamond and your kc bolts and save an inv space. Also, using bolts means you dont have to unequip the zammy book as you would with a crystal bow.. so no zammy monsters attacking you while you get kills.

 

 

 

The time's i've done it, i got kc on spirit warriors in arma's encampment. They only max 1 but take forever to kill. A few mates have said its way better to pick off aviansie just outside the camp. you can get some addy bar drops to pay for supplies this way too just watch out for sara monsters.

What other monsters other than Armadyl are in the Encampment and should I bring things that will make them not att me?

The pendant is from a quest that i've completely forgotten the name of... it's one of the desert treasure quests i'm sure, and it's pretty easy to re-obtain after you've done the quest.

 

 

 

In the encampment there's only arma and zammy monsters, thats why i advised against a crystal bow for getting kc, it means you can keep your zammy book equipped all the time and not be attacked.

Another couple of questions :oops:

 

 

 

1- Where do I get a bolt Pouch?

 

 

 

2- How long does it take to remove/input bolts into and out of the pouch? Can they be removed in combat easily?

The Armadyl Pendent is from the quest...um :oops: forgot too >.<

 

 

 

But it involves the Guardians guarding the Armadyl Staff and Lucien.

 

 

 

If you sided with Lucien, kill a guardian to get it. Otherwise, just talk to one of them.

 

 

 

And you buy Bolt Pouches from Keldagrim, on the East side of the river I believe. As for your second question, I have no idea.

Kill the guards to get 1. Try to get several pendants while there by dropping it and killing more guards though i only got 2 after 10 minutes there...

 

I tried to solo Kiara few times without success(93 range,65 prayer back then). might try kemikalkadet's inventory next time (i used mix of brews and sharks).

 

One thing for sure,dont expect it to be a walk in the park...she is a tough bird...

Changing bolts in your pouch is really fast.. click the pouch, right click the bolt and select equip/weild. It does mean that you cant eat while you're switching because the select screen covers the inv, but with a little practice you can do it in a few seconds. combat doesnt cancel the screen either so you can still be under attack when you switch.
