January 11, 200818 yr In the RuneScape news forum, I think that the Behind the Scenes post should be stickied as it takes affect for the whole month.
January 12, 200818 yr It's reasonable, so I'm behind it. : It is right though, it's entire point is to hint towards the month, so why not have it pinned?
January 12, 200818 yr What I usually notice is that the behind the scenes (bts) would be posted alot on the first 1-3 days of its release. Gradually other users start to create many speculation threads that draws attention from the main bts thread (though its meant to be discussed there), hence the bts thread "dies" due to lack of posters and almost not revived at all. Maybe we might want to address this issue first? :-k Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

May be better to pin the BTS post in General, even if General doesn't need anymore stickys. -.-
January 12, 200818 yr Good idea, would cut the amount of similar topics. The only problem is that there's already a lot of stickies. Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
January 12, 200818 yr Good idea, would cut the amount of similar topics. The only problem is that there's already a lot of stickies. Only problem that may rise is when any mod locks a topic relating to the BTS, when the true point is a theory from the BTS. I know mod's will be able to know the difference, but what will the difference be, between discussing the BTS (in the pinned topic), and then between theorizations from the BTS? Oh, and those pinned topics could become an issue.
January 12, 200818 yr In my opinion, it would be much easier if we left all RuneScape news threads for the RuneScape News forum. It's rather silly/pointless to have two RuneScape news threads - one in General Discussion and one in the actual forum. That way we could just sticky the one in RuneScape News and we wouldn't have to worry about another (more popular) thread existing in General Discussion at all. But whatever :P Either way, I don't think the one in General Discussion should be stickied. Due to the large volume of stickies in that forum, I'm sure that stickying the thread would hide it, of all things. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Why would a stickied thread, made by a normal user, but shifted by a Mod or Admin, get hidden? :-s And BTW, why are Tip.It's Mods and Admins failing to pick up on the existence of a user-made thread if it occurs before the existence of a 'Mod/Admin'-made thread in regard to the same topic? (I've reported at least 3 of such before due to this kind of thing, in hopes that the thread might be moved to 'RS News', or that the discussion might be somehow centralized, so users of these forums wouldn't have to track 2 threads at once.) It could be transferred to the 'RS News' Area and stickied instead of a second topic being made. Plus it would save the Mods and Admins soooooo much time! :| ~Mr. D. V. Devnull Generally speaking, most people overlook stickies, especially if there is a lot of them. General Discussion has some of the most stickies of all forums. Since most people overlook stickies, that's why it would get 'hidden.' Or most people just wouldn't see it. Why do you think that people post screenshots in individual threads so often? Because they don't look at the stickies ;) Well I haven't seen any such reports (or personally dealt with them, is a better way to say it), so I wouldn't know the reason for not doing so. But I see no problem with moving the General Discussion threads to the RuneScape News forum if they're created first. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Bingo, Killerred005. That's why I went a little wacko in the above past 3 posts before yours, to convey that thought. :D ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people...
