Why 21 Kill count in Barrows?

Nothing that anyone could prove, just that you usually get better rewards at a higher kill count.

It's been proven and dis proved many of many of times again and again, but the theory is 21 kill count gets you an odd of a barrows item 1-12 trips.

Also you get a bit more runes, I as well as many others tend to get this magical number and never loose money in barrows.

It really depends on what fancys you, if you want a bit of training while possibly getting more runes and better odd of an item then go for it, if not then get 12.

By the way, with 12 your supposbly suppose to get an item every 20 trips or so.

Hmmm... Thanks I think i'll get 21 Kill count from now on.

Lets hope for a Guthans Warspear :ohnoes:

Or two :o

I'm not really sure how you do barrows or what your stats are but if it takes a little while (like combact skills and under 80) then you might not want to get 21 (you still can) but you'll be killing for 10-15+ minutes, but who knows it might come out good in the end with double spears :D

Well my stats are in my sig. I can go through barrows in 15-30 minutes. I am fine waiting 10-15 more minutes.

Kill count is the chance of getting runes and/or bolt racks. The higher the kill count, the higher the chance.

I usually go for about 12 seeing as it doesnt take that long and doesnt waste food but does increase your chance slightly of getting runes and bolt racks

It makes no difference. From what I've heard, the frequency of Barrow drops work like this...

Everytime you kill a barrow brother, there is a small chance they drop a piece of their armour into the chest. So theoretically, as long as you always kill all six of the brothers, your barrow drop frequency will remain the same. The amount of monsters you kill will not affect the rate at which you get drops however, and will only affect the amount of runes, cash and maybe even Bolt Racks (some people believe this drop comes from Karil).

I myself always get 12 KC, and my barrow chests opened to barrow items recieved ratio is at around 13:1 :D .

wouldn't 13:1 mean you get 13 items in one chest? :P

I wish :( .

But that's a ratio...

Barrow Chests opened - Barrow items recieved

13 : 1

That means I usually get an item every 13 chests opened  .
