January 13, 200818 yr How to View Tip.It in Other Languages! Brought to you by Guthix121 Not that good at reading English? I will show you how to make shortcuts to Tip It or the Tip It Forums in another language! You don't even need a shortcut, just copy and paste the codes below into your address bar! I hope Tip It admins find a way to use this for their website. To make the shortcuts, go to Notpad, and copy and paste the following: Tip It All you have to do is substitute the red with one of the codes below. Once you do that, Files>Save As>Title it>SAVE AS .HTM It must be .HTM to work. Once you do that, go to the folder you saved it in: Right Click>Send To>Desktop And there you have it! Tip it in your native language! (I'm not French, just using French as an example.) I have codes for 8 different languages: [hide=For Tip It Mainsite]French: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cfr&u=http://tip.it/runescape&prev=/language_tools Italian: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cit&u=http://www.tip.it/runescape/&prev=/language_tools German: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cde&u=http://www.tip.it/runescape/&prev=/language_tools Spanish: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Ces&u=http://www.tip.it/runescape/&prev=/language_tools Russian: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cru&u=http://tip.it.runescape&prev=/language_tools Japanese: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cja&u=http://tip.it/runescape&prev=/language_tools Korean: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cko&u=http://tip.it/runescape&prev=/language_tools Chinese: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Czh-CN&u=http://tip.it/runescape&prev=/language_tools[/hide] [hide=For Tip It Forums]French: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cfr&u=http://forum.tip.it&prev=/language_tools Italian: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cit&u=http://forum.tip.it/&prev=/language_tools German: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cde&u=http://forum.tip.it/&prev=/language_tools Spanish: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Ces&u=http://forum.tip.it/&prev=/language_tools Russian: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cru&u=http://forum.tip.it&prev=/language_tools Japanese: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cja&u=http://forum.tip.it&prev=/language_tools Korean: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Cko&u=http://forum.tip.it&prev=/language_tools Chinese: http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=en%7Czh-CN&u=http://forum.tip.it/index.php&prev=/language_tools[/hide] If you want to go straight to the site without a shortcut, just copy an above code and paste it into your URL address bar. Please tell me if there is anything wrong with the codes. And yes, I know that these codes will work with most sites (I tried RuneScape, didn't work...). Also, these are the ONLY possible codes. I do not think that there are more for other languages. Note: This will not translate images, javascript, or other applications. It is meant only for text. ------------------------------------ Thanks to Jordanweb for coming up with an even easier idea! Just Right Click>New>Shortcut>Paste Code>Title It and you have it! January 13, 200818 yr Not a bad guide, but is there really a point in making a html file with a frame for it? It'd be better to just use a desktop shortcut or bookmark it imo. Also you could just make/save the .html file on your desktop instead of making it elsewhere and moving it.
January 13, 200818 yr Author You could do that too. Just copy the code, put in address bar, visit site, and then bookmark it! Own a forum? Advertise it for Free!!! Forum Promotion - Free Forum AdvertisingThe Freelance Mind - Freelance, Graphics, and Webmaster Discussion forums

January 14, 200818 yr that was obvious...a faster way is by going to this translation thing on web which can transfer htmls. However they translate word for word so by doing this it doesnt make sense at all. also rs slang words would be corrected to the next closest thing making it messed up or keeping it like it is would make the sen mized up. Bottom line: It woudn't be reliable especailly if u didnt know eng at all.
January 14, 200818 yr I'm sorry, but machine translation sucks. I studied English-French translation at university, and I can tell you that auto translation simply does not work. You need a HUMAN to translate into another language. A machine translator simply can't interpret all the nuances, expressions and colloquialisms that a real person can. And the sample screen shot of the French Translation of the main page? Awful. Forget it.
