No, and there is alot of bias in the forums. How do you think Sonic went up 8 places this tier list? He's a crap character. Sonic users just whine and carry on.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

I wouldn't know, I don't pay that much attention to games. :twss:

:(

If you ever try to use sonic in a non-online game against someone of skill, you'll get owned. Even if they use someone like Ivysaur

(However good Ivysaur is I regret to say that noone takes him seriously. He owns, and no PT user really gives him the chance to shine.)

Or online, if you're PBP. ;)

It's not bias. It's how far the character boards are willing to go to gather information on each matchup, and try to further their advantage by exploiting each weakness in a matchup. Basically, characters get better as more things are discovered. It's not bias. Sonic has the most mix-ups in the game. He's the fastest runner = very good for even more mixups. He has one of the best recoveries. He's not bad. He's hard to use.

And... let's drop this topic, it always leads to something bad.

And it's not that they aren't very noob tolerant as much as they hate clutter on their forums. Don't make new threads if you don't know what you're doing.

Hm...well I can't think of much in the way of topics...

But, I'm curious...why is Yoshi so low in tiers? I know it's kind of obvious but still...

EDIT: Did not mean to double post...thought I was editing the other one.

Not many people use him.

His main purpose is an MK counter. Snake does this better.

A crappy recovery if someone knows Yoshi well enough, they can own you hard.

Yoshi I think also has bad range.

PT should be high tier :(

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Yeah, people footstool Yoshi. Seriously.

And the problem with PT is that even though he has 3 forms, this is his biggest strength. When the game first came out, people thought he wasn't going to be low tier because he can CP people by switching pokemon. Now, people know a good amount of the roster counter all 3 of them.

Footstooling is stupid.

And yeah; PT still can use that to his advantage. But the real problem is his best pokemon (Squirtle) gets owned so hard by stamina. And auto-death switching killed him badly.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Sorry. I should have said people can footstool Yoshi consistently.

I never get footstooled, but I know it's really easy considering Yoshi's jumps, and it always = ko.

But he can footstool a bit, as well...

When yoshi gets footstooled he dies

sometimes.

Hypocrite. You tell others to be nice then attempt to murder people. Nice going, you just failed life.

Obviously. :P

But his Dair works pretty well, to footstool, if they're still close enough to a ledge to recover from the actual kicks.

You have to be a VERY good yoshi to not be footstooled all the time when you're recovering. However it kinda is hard to footstool a yoshi with the air speed and whatnot. Which is why I said if someone knows a yoshi well.

Also the hardness to use a Yoshi competitively makes a yoshi user very distinguished if they beat someone well known out of the blue. Yoshi's up air is a pretty good thing to stop them if you can though, ko's pretty quick and is kinda fast with high high high priority.

That can't be right? Because I'm a noob at this, but I don't get footstooled very often at all...

Only professionals really can footstool and noone can footstool on purpose online.

Yoshi is a hard character to use at a high standard in tourneys. If you, say, have a good yoshi and go to a U.S tournament and beat someone like M2K (lolololol), you'll DEFINITELY be popular and semi-famous for being one of the best yoshis around asap.

Oh, ok, tourneys...

I consider myself a very casual gamer, I highly doubt I'd ever go to a tournament for games.

I dont play enough yoshis or enough people who use characters who get raped by footstools to need to learn anyway.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

The reason you don't get footstooled is because you don't play good people, and you play me on Wifi.

There's no one to play, we've established this already.

You're pretty much the only person I ever play against, and I don't have anyone to play against at all offline.

EDIT: Lol, speaking of which, does anyone want to Brawl? Fishing is getting a little...blah. ::'

whoooooo I beat Intense Boss battle AGAIN. I was bored, so I decided to try it again, and first time I got to the 8th one and died. 2nd time, I killed taboo so easily. I even had a heart left. Lol, his RROD seemed slow to me, I guess I got better at Brawl since the last time I played. :) :) :) :)
