RayOxide
I really dont know. So how about that Falco yeah? Not so good without chaingrab really? I dont need a siggy no moar.
skinnymage
Since when did ganon get green skin? He has a giant nose in melee but... no green skin
Inuashakent
Falco is still high/top tier material without his chaingrab. He has the lazerz. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
Zaaps1
I really dont know. So how about that Falco yeah? Not so good without chaingrab really? Tbh, if Falco didn't have the [bleep]e I think I would prefer Fox. Falco is pretty much an exact clone of Fox in melee. Almost all of the normal attacks are the same too. ~It's Super Effective! RayOxide
Falco is still high/top tier material without his chaingrab. He has the lazerz. As stated by yourself Fox has bettar laz0rz and pit has a better arr0w :P it's the chaingrab that keeps his 4th position, without it a possible 10 tbh I dont need a siggy no moar. But, he'd still be better than Fox without it. Better spacing ability, camping ability, and spacing abilities. he has a better recovery, dacus, and a better edgeguard. His grabs have followups, too. RayOxide
Fox has a better recovery than Falco, Kent.. And Falco doesnt have a 'DACUS' like the others, however it's better imo :P I dont need a siggy no moar.
Inuashakent
I still say Falco's is more reliable... with proper DI you really should never have to use his firebird (unless you're being edgeguarded by a good one, then Fox couldn't survive, anyways). Falco's Forward b goes a farther distance, and can actually be used as an attack. Either way, they both are completely horrid and unless the opponent is crap at edgeguarding, they both die. Edit: I forgot to mention Falco has the best spotdodge and one of the best jabs in the game. Zaaps1
Doesn't Fox's Firefox go farther? ~It's Super Effective! Inuashakent
It does, but it's just as punishable. Falco's phantasiam goes farther, though. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
RayOxide
It does, but it's just as punishable. Falco's phantasiam goes farther, though. Fox' firefox goes about 1.5x longer than Falcos while the phantasm goes about 1.2x farther than foxes. So fox does have a better recovery since his is more versatile too. I dont need a siggy no moar. Inuashakent
But phantasiam is better than the Firefox for recovery due to it's short startup time. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
RayOxide
Phantasm doesnt go up. And Falco's firebird or whatever doesnt grab FD's edge if you're at the bottom of the screen - Fox' does. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Inuashakent
Phantasm doesnt go up. And Falco's firebird or whatever doesnt grab FD's edge if you're at the bottom of the screen - Fox' does. For the first statement, you really shouldn't need to. Falco only edgeguards when he's safe to recovery after. And with even decent DI, you'll never need to go up. For the second statement, it's called aiming. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
RayOxide
How does aiming help when something just doesnt reach? I dont need a siggy no moar.
Inuashakent
His forward b reaches to any edge. The DI is to ensure you don't shoot straight horizontally, making you have to firebird. RayOxide
Phantasm doesnt even go up, it just goes in 1 direction, so how does 'aiming' Falco's firebird upwards to grab the edge work when it doesnt actually grab the edge? I'm talking about from under the edge not on the side, where Fox' can grab the FD edge from directly under it just on the blast line where Falco cant. I dont need a siggy no moar. Inuashakent
Which is exactly what Falco avoids as much as possible. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

Inuashakent
Falco has a better horizontal recovery. Fox has a better vertical recovery. Falco doesn't need to recovery vertically, always horizontally. RayOxide
So if Falco gets hit by Zelda or Jigglypuff's downsmash, or [bleep]ed, or pseudo [bleep]ed, he automatically goes horizontal of the edge? Falco can be [bleep]ed or hit on a bad angle, it's nothing different. And firefox still goes the same length as phantasm horizontally =P EDIT: Fox has a much more versatile recovery since he can grab the edge about 5 different ways better than Falco can.. I dont need a siggy no moar.
