I don't think stalls would really be necessary. It would just take up space. I think you could just have your shop "open or closed" and then they could add a window where you could right click on items and have them go into your shop window. Of course, they would still be in your inventory for immediate access. The only problem is, what's to stop someone from making the price for like a tinderbox 100k? Then someone who has, say 300k in their inventory comes and needs a tinderbox for a quest or something so they go to this persons shop and just instantly hit buy now instead of checking the price first. They assume that the person would only make it like 5gp, but if they really made it 100k and someone wasn't paying attention, well... that would be really horrible.

and that would be there fault. You couldn't possiblly call it a scame becuase nobody would expect someone to buy their tinderbox. But like I said and auction house would stop this since a person would be able to put in the price they want to spend on an item.

did u get this from a game called

r.o.s.e.?

if you are talking to me, no. I got it form ffxi which allows both "stalls" and an auction house, although the stalls is the character and you have to be log on inorder to sell the item, but in that game you can turn the atuo log-off option off.

I've always thought they'd put this in the POHs, when you visit other ppls' houses, like they could sell stuff they didn't want to bargain with there.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.

This reminds me of the flea market idea I had a while ago where there should be a special area filled with special stalls that players could Use their items with and then other players could browse their wares.

I may be biased, but I think this is a great idea that is long overdue, also.

Hey man. Would the stalls at this flea market cover all items, even things like tinderboxes and spades?

Yep, anything that could fit into one slot in your inventory except gp and untradeable things (like certain quest items or the new holiday items), since that would be pointless. You could put up a tinderbox, a party hat, 1,000 arrows or a Rune Plate. Now, whether anyone actually bought what you put up (like burnt fish or other "pointless" items) is up to the other players.

All this talk about Auction Houses is interesting, too, though, and possibly more fair than a flea market idea. Of course, if someone wanted to sell their coal at less than street or auction price with the same ease as the auction house, then they should have a system to do that in, too, methinks.

phreaknet does bring up a good point about POSs...if the players are allowed to open their own shops or stalls, then there should be a limit to how high the prices can go. For example, a tinderbox would be limited to 1g to maybe 8g, Rune Plate would be 64k to 90k, etc. I don't know how that would work for the grossly overpriced "rares" (just to tick off the merchants, it would be the high-low limis would be 15% the General Store price, which is somewhere around 26g, I think?), but I figure if you don't like the limits of the POS, then you can sell person-to-person like now, and buyer beware.

Thats already set up in the auction house system. Think of the auction house more as instant access buying rater than actual auctioning. There is a mimium bid set up by the seller. Once this bid is met or over met then the item is sold. Say someone sells an item for 100gc and another person sells the same item for 50 gc. when a person gose to the AH to buy the item they spend 150 gc on. This money gose to the person who sold the item for 50gc just as it would be in an actual AH. Yes, under cutting would be a "problem" but then again the person that under cuts runes the risk of selling their item for less then its worth. Once on FFXI i bought a 50k item for 10k by complete randomness because someone under cut the price that much and as a result they lost out.
