June 14, 200818 yr [hide=old post]i posted this before the forum update and i got a couple good replies i remember, but i lost the link to the guide someone posted. i was planning on tanking avencies from 77-80 range and i need a good setup. i have a 1-2.5mil budget (max 2.5mil) and im looking to have fun and make some decent cash. if you don't mind posting a pic of invo/setup i would apreciate it VERY much. also some time next week (wednesday and after) can someone please take me into the GWD and just show me the place im supposed to be at? i have never been there. i would greatly apreciate it and pay for your teleport costs and any food you use and 15k extra just because you were kind enough to give up about 10-15min of your time. June 15, 200818 yr Take high alch runes, B2P tabs, a mith grapple, and some cheap food to get you started (like 10 salmon/lobster/whatever is sitting in your bank). If it's your first time to GWD be sure to bring a rope, otherwise you don't need it. Mithril bolts are fine.

June 16, 200818 yr Overkill, probably. Wear sara dhide chaps if you have a granite shield and T Helm, then you can use barrows gloves.

June 16, 200818 yr Well you're using b2p, so you should be able to stay as long as you want. Hm, if you can't wear barrows gloves, you may as well stick with the setup you have for now. What's your defense? because 80+ should be fine with dhide chaps. The extra offense is quite nice.
June 16, 200818 yr Um well if that's all you can afford, its fine. I don't know your range level but if its low you might want to go with high defence, because the slower kills mean you will be taking more hits. Ok if you can extend your budget go with Acher > Wealth Mith (e) bolts > Mith Dfs > Crystal Sheild (only if your's are 150k) > Granite Sheild Ranger Boots > Snake boots Summons Unicorn > Bunyip > Void Spinner At 78 defence, tanking the void spinner keeps me full hp.
