I prefer al-kharid this way, now there are 3 equal mining spots. this makes mining there less competitive. I only train quick skills because of money and only mine for pure ess (only got 42k :oops: ) In short: Quit whining about pixels if you don't like the skill. (11k ea rune ore) 2. mining is a MONEY making skill. 3. some people i know have made millions off of mining rune ore. BAD -------- 1. there is few rune ore spots. 2. most of the rune ore is set in the wild. 3. mining takes tedious amounts of time. 4. mining has not been updated possibly ever since 2006 or so things that need changing -------------------------- 1. we need a dragon pick axe 2. we need more rune ore locations. 3. we need mining to be like fishing and wood cutting The real reason why mining is hard is because jagex ain't dumb! they know many people would try for 85 mining and mine up rune ore so they kept it as a hard stat its not like the forgot about this skill people. mining is like one of the top skills for money making besides hunting. thanks to axeraider70 for creating the beautiful signature! If they just put more in the game it could possibly cause prices to drop and as such hurt those who make a living mining rune ore. 3 If you mean make it so people just stay in one area continuously for just one click, bad to the tenth, mining is actually fine the way it is in this respect. Once you've taken the competition in it you just made it a boring nerfed skill. Especially after prices drop. What mining does need is more types of ore along with an update to its partner skill smithing. If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person. Mining is probably the last part of the game that has remained classic. Changing mining would change runescape. It's difficult to level because it allows a player.. even F2P.. access to making the strongest F2P armor in RS. It's quite an achievement and it's not for the weary. As mentioned in previous posts, mining is a monkey making skill that takes a large amount of time to start reeping in the profits. The only way Jagex will ever change mining is if they think Runescape will need a boost or a jump to even greater heights. They are currently on a system that works and is not being abused (since the bots have been remove :) ) and until they come up with a system or updates that are sure to make Runescape as a whole better, this system will indeed not change. Gin_and_Tonic Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 I can see why some people would deem mining as a pointless skill, however without it, we'd have to rely solely on the drops from monsters for our armour (bronze-rune), same with weapons... Without mining we'd also have to buy our runes from a shop at an inflated price. In short - mining has alot more benifits than disadvantages. If you dont like the skill, training something different.
