May 26, 200521 yr i prefer the skills :D smithing is good money, if you can buy rune ore cheap... or cannonballs for the more patient people
March 10, 200620 yr It's quite daft because everyone associates a lower combat levelled person as being a "noob" and not knowing anything about the game and they think they're better. Take what happened to me earlier, i (being combat of 56, i know its low) was chopping yews and this lvl 80something automatically assumed that my wc was below what it is. Its 64 and even if i lied it wouldn't be that much under only 4 lvls in order for me to cut yews... silly people.

Haven't played RuneScape since 12 january 2007 and it feels great :)

March 11, 200620 yr The best ways of moneymaking I know involve merchanting. Do you need combat for that? Keyword here is making. A merchant doesen't really make money. They just manipulate and hoard it, contributing nothing to the economy. Someone who practice skills adds items and gp to the game, which is in everybodys interest. Looking back on this 10 months down the line, I think johannes makes a very good point there. ^ This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
March 11, 200620 yr Well, look at the skill lvls on my sig and look at the combat lvls....I have two items worth over 40m total.....I bought them thanks to skills, not combat. This is on F2P. I can understnad on P2P how getting high combat is a good way to make money, because of the chance of getting a worthy drop from a monster, but I am not P2P, so make your own asumptions. March 11, 200620 yr Without combat there would be no reason for me to lvl my skills. I level my skills so I can make more money out of them so I can buy my weapons and armor. On the other side, I only level my combat when doing slayer assignments (I'm more of a skill guy). The one can't exist without the other. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.
March 11, 200620 yr I depends on how you like to play the game... I just know my personal prefence isn't 100% focused on combat, but I do enjoy PK-ing. But to get the skills and items PK-ing requires money, and that also effects on what you decide to train, or do for that gp.
March 11, 200620 yr Well actually some of the best money making ways include combat. Killing green dragons can be 350k an hour if you're consistant and I'd think that combat would help with barrows. :P 123 Combat / 1900 Skill Total / 99 HP / 7x 99 Stats
