Crazykid1321
While I was woodcutting Yews for a quick buck and looking at posts in the General Forum in a topic about looked down-upon Skill Capes, I thought to myself, is my Cooking Cape really that special? The answer is a sad no, especially when countless people mock your cape, even those who own no Cape of Achievement, since it is no more of a semi-expensive accessory- costing only about 10m (at least for me) and one month's time (from about 40 cooking) . Given this circumstance about my Cooking Cape, I was looking for a new cape, and so I thought about a cape that could not be bought. I immediately thought about my favorite skill, woodcutting. I now want a Woodcutting cape, but now how to obtain it, I spent a few hours at the willow trees near the Barbarian Assault minigame, and instantly got bored. I then spent some time again at the Edgeville Yews and fell in love. Yes, I am P2P if you haven't figured it out yet. But I know have a few small questions. From my level how long should it take for me to obtain level 99 Woodcutting chopping Yews using a Dragon Hatchet at around 3-6 (rounded to about 5) hours a day of Woodcutting? Where should I chop Yews at? Though close to a bank and comfortable, the Yews at Edgeville get a bit crowded, what Yew woodcutting spot is close to a bank and virtually unpopulated and almost never crowded? A huge thanks in advance!
asianboy7o7
its pretty crowded at peak times but good for yews with like 7 trees lil bit southeast of seers flax field/south of bee hives
Rang3Plz
I cant help you with the timing, but i would say that it is best to cut the yews closest to Catherby. There are many yew trees there and the bank is fairly close. Another option is to cut near the tree gnome stronghold. There are 4 or 5 yew trees there plus a mage tree. There is even a spot where you can plant your own tree and cut if the place ever gets crowded. If you want map pics of these places then feel free to ask. Crazykid1321
I have tried the Gnome Stronghold for a few levels and did not like it. Also, does anyone have an estimate for how long it will take me?
Mike_Ike111
I can't pinpoint the time to get it with yews, though on willows it would take you 2-3 months. What you don't realize is that the amount of time it takes to get it on yews would just be time wasted not making money on other things.

Yeah but cutting willows makes you hardly any money at all... meaning the time you spend cutting willows was time making no money... when you could have been cutting Yews... and making money. :P Yews are very high in price right now, I'm pretty sure they would be a rather good source of money. Mike_Ike111
^^^ I can't really argue with you, because it would be a good source of money. Though, I am the type who is impatient. I would go crazy chopping yews at such a slow speed -.-
Dr_Locust
Good luck with 99 Woodcutting. It was what I aimed for last summer, I stuck with yews all the way to 99. Took a few months, but I ended up with 30k+ yews in my bank. You can do it! Dr Locust <-- Click for my blog...+2000 Total, PhD in Questing, Woodcutting, Agility, Thieving, and Firemaking
