No Sound On FF3

Featured Replies

YouTube, Background music from sites, flash/java games, and RuneScape doesn't even load, but it crashes FF3. Also videos stop playing. They've loaded but they pause probably because there's no sound, like the video itself has loaded but it pauses, I can drag across the time line and see 2-3 seconds of the video before it pauses again.

Internet Explorer successfully plays music, or videos, or any sound. WMP also plays through the speakers as well, so it's not a speaker problem, it's within FF3.

Everything else works fine.

Disable/Uninstall all addons and see what happens. Or start Firefox in its Safe Mode function (Start --> Mozilla etc.)

I've restarted it sevral times, still doesn't work.

Disabling the add-ons had no effect, neither did Safe-Mode, am I looking at to uninstall it, and reinstall? >.>

skatedog, I suggest going to Mozilla's Support Forum for FireFox and seeing if you can resolve this without need for uninstall/reinstall ... Something tells me they didn't do enough testing... :-w

(Yeah, I know we're normally supposed to resolve it here, but every once in a while, something will exceed what help you can get from 3rd-party groups.)

Thanks, but I did a reinstall and it's no longer present, I sent in a bug report of it, if I get it a second time I'll post on the support forums though. ::'
