If you look on the RuneScape Fourms, or should I say LagScape Fourms almsot all 50 pages of the Recent Updates Fourm is filled with complaints of players about the huge lag because of the new graphical update. It's all because JAGeX is stupid enough to release the update and not even stabalize the game!!! :x :x

Well, Jesus. You'd think they'd release a Beta or something to test it out??

They'll stabalize it once they have everything together. Big updates take time to smooth over!

You realize this a beta right? It's not going to be PERFECT is it? That why they put it out :?

 

 

 

Can't people be grateful for what's Jagex have done ; all that time and effort and all people do is rant and cry about it.

If you think it sucks so bad, try making a mmorpg where millions play are constantly happy by every single thing you do. Then after 7 years add bad-[wagon] graphics without making a mistake.

You know, it's called beta for a reason...Hmmm...Ah yes, Beta testing is the process in which a company allows the eager players to test it out and find the problems of the currently released game/game version!

 

 

 

Of course it's gonna have bugs. Of course it's gonna lag. Of course there will be problems. I applaud JaGex for releasing beta, that way the respectable players can give the problems to JaGex without complaining, while the brats and ranting idiots can prove they truly are morons or brats. They'll get over it. And if not, they can go play a different game and be shunned there. One less idiot on RuneScape.

I really think people posting these complaints should maybe READ other posts and realize you're just saying the same thing. This is the 5th post I've seen bashing Jagex for this horrible, horrible thing they've done. Like get over it, it's a Beta. Aka, it's a test, things aren't going to revert, but they will get better. This version has been out for like 9 hours, have some patience. Or maybe if you think you could do a better job, you should spend your energy thinking about that, instead of flaming about how ugly your pixel looks.

 

 

 

EDIT: The fact that you've been a member here for two days is really showing.

Another point is that Jagex is not lying, I did test it out and the low details are MUCH WORSE for lag.the only place the HD mode fails is the long loading period when you switch areas, which is about 3x longer at least. Other than that I went from no lag HD to a lag fest on safe mode.

 

 

 

It will smooth over, eventualy. This is ALWAYS a problem for large updates because it strains the servers well past normal operation. If they had gone to full blown HD for everyone, no one would be able to play the game for the next month while over 1,000,000 people download the new settings.

has anybody had a problem where there character is running then just stops for like 5 seconds then continues to run again this happens to me about every 2 minutes in the hd full screen. has anybody else had this problem or is it just my comp?

1st off i would just like to say that it is a beta and all the latest bugs/glitches will go away. they will fix the character look as well. 2nd. lag will go away. there is always lag after an update. the bigger the update the more lag likely to happen.

Adorable, two posts in and he's already complaining about something he clearly knows nothing about. =D> Oh and I should mention, he's already made an overused Runescape name, Lagscape!!!!

The lag only happens when you enter an area for the first time :roll:

 

 

 

I've not cleared that lag yet,I'm waiting for this month's first update,but its easy to clear.Just like five seconds and the lag is gone.Just like a bad washing soap ad.

There are a few reasons why there is lag:

 

1. playing in full screen. more pixels moving=more lag. Hd has more detail so more memory used thus more lag

 

2. multiple windows/tabs open

 

3. too many cookies on one's computer

 

4. too much saved history in the internet log

 

5. not enough RAM (random access memory for those people asking :thumbsup: )

 

6. not a high enough cpu frequency

 

 

 

If you still lag after following 1-4, then you MUST either get a better cpu (preferably 1.9GHz or higher) or both a better cpu and about 1-1.5 gig of RAM. I suggest you go to a bargain store with a computer nerd; this will easily cost $150+.

The Jack in the Box is remodeling and the way they're ripping up tiles, throwing tools around, painting here and there, making a big mess and all... it's just so UGLY! But it'll be better once it's all done.
