Chrono Trigger DS?

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised. They've already remade FFIII and IV, so why not milk another game for all it's worth (I mean that in the best way possible ;) ). Hopefully, they would go ahead and actually remake the game instead of just porting it...either way, I can't wait if it does turn out to be true...or it could be a new game entirely.

Oh, and where did you find the link to that site? I'm looking on SE's main site and don't see anything.

From what I read there will be a new dungeon added in.

Honestly though, I hope they don't add much. Chrono Trigger was a work of art in every sense. I did hear they are keeping the original music, however.

If they add an extra dungeon or something, i'm all for it, but leave everything else alone.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

I would like them to just port it. IMO they don't need to mess with it. Even the PS1 version was stretching it. Could be well done, knowing square-enix most likely they'll have some updated graphics, a new dungeon, possibly new characters (fail ), and new spells/items. Though as the (self-proclaimed) #1 Chrono trigger fan on these forums, I will have to test it out. (note to self: get a nintendo ds.)

Well, I even recognised the sound of the pendulum. (

in the original game.)

I just hope they don't mess the game up, changing the storyline or whatnot. It's good to see they'll re-release such an awesome game.

You really should play CT, it's so much better than cross in every reguard. Chrono Cross had way too many characters, where as in Chrono Trigger it had a small amount but each was developed well.

Honestly a lot of the memories for Chrono Trigger are well justified, as it is one of (if not the) best RPG's on a console to date. Between the battle system which was really ahead of its time (Multi-character moves and such) and one of the best storylines to grace an RPG, it's a great game. So much better than all of the Final Fantasy's out.

Also there really shouldn't be a sequel to chrono trigger, I mean, they don't have anywhere to go with it.

I completely agree with everything you just said, except for the Final Fantasy thing. I liked VII far more than any other game I have ever played. Before it was popular on the internet, even. But yeah, Chrono Trigger for the DS would be freaking awesome. I'll buy it if it happens.

Been looking on eric-bay and cant find a copy for a reasonable price, probably be easier to buy the system to play it on than the game.

It's so expensive because it is a great game. 'nuff said.

No because twilight princess is still in print, in japan theres specialisist companys who get nintendo to print them and thats not ner the cost of CT.Its because its old and no longer in print that it is so expensive...but it being acclaimed as the best rpg ever made also adds to the cost no doubt :P.
