I would like to get my second fire cape when I return from my 2 month break from RuneScape. Last time I did the fight caves I used a rune crossbow with mithril bolts the whole way(except using guthans to heal). But I found that killing jad took quite a while. This time I have a lot more money and a lot less patience. I would like some advice on what weapon/ammo combo I should use to kill him this time.

 

 

 

Eg. Crystal Bow, Rune X-Bow with runite bolts(p), D-Bow with rune arrows etc.

you could take like 100 diamond bolts (e) to use against jad and use mith for the waves up to jad

I was thinking of that, but rune bolts dont cost much more. Are they better?

well if you got lots of money, 50 d stone bolts...

Mithrils and 100 Diamond e's... Dont use rune, IF you have cash to spend, do all diamond e

I agree with using Diamond (e), I used them and he died pretty quick.

Well, they are addy bolts anyways. The spec helps a lot too.

I would agree that if you can afford diamond bolts (e) use them the entire way. They seem to be the fastest way to deal damage.

How many diamand(e) would I need to buy to last the whole caves? With lvl 80 range.

Bring 1k to be safe, you'll probably use 500

Are you sure? That doesn't seem like very many.

Emerald (E)'s till Jad and Diamond (e)'s on Jad. 1500 and 500 respectively should be plunty with accumulator.

With accumulator you don't use all that many.

Oh, and another question if you guys don't mind. Is it worth taking full void? Because with 99 defence I don't take too much damage anyway and 70 prayer means I don't lose much from the lack of prayer bonuses.
