pureprayer
Range has great potential. Range can have arrows that are light and fly farther but do less damage. There could be flaming arrows (Yes I know about the quest) that can dissapate but do more dammage. There could be heavy, shortrange arrows. Do you think range could use alot more updates? Pureprayer, you're awesome.
erichkiller
Personally i find range a very varied skill with cbows, normal ranging, dbow, crystal bows, a bunch of other bows, throwables and some armor. Maybe there could be more armors besides all hide based armors and the armadyl set.
Ultralomaniac
I'd say the range weaponry is fairly varies, but it has no unique individual weapons, like how melee has the whip, the granite maul, obby maul, ect... there are many Magic has a few too, but magic *weapons* aren't what really matter But yeah, the armor selection is -very- limited. i would like something other than dragonhide sometimes
Alg
Pretty much every skill has that kind of potential. I'd like a magic attack that does multiple weak hits in a turn, as well as some larger elemental spells (tornado, etc.) Really, they could do so much to all of the current skills. Fun to brainstorm things like that, at least. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
Ultralomaniac
yeah but brainstorming is no good unless it's done on RSOF :P
Numer0_un0
Let's see... somewhat recently we have had these updates to range: 1) Chinchompas (fastest way to train range) 2) Dragon Bow (great for BH/duel arena) 3) Updated Crossbows that can hit 60s, maybe higher with d-stone bolts. 4) Bone Crossbow for very low income ranged players 5) Broad-tipped bolts; currently cheaper than mithril and hit better. I agree on Armor, but range has gotten a lot of updates recently.
tyluke
Having level 60 Range i'm not expert but, i am knowlegable Range has six types for armor, not including barrows, spined, yak or blessed. Range has the acumulators and attractors to save on ammunition Range has seven different types of Bows. not including secrull, or dark Range has 11 types of crossbows Range has cannons Range also has chins, darts, knives, throwing axes and javelins Range is one of the easiest combat skills that you can create armor for Range if you consider everything it has access to is not really that far behind in updates compared to melee. The problem with Range is it has so many useless items that it seems like Jagex isn't doing. so what Jagex needs to do is rethink alot of the Range weapons and armor; make necessary inprovements and set it up so its more equipped to handle all players Range levels 1-99. only 2 skills below level 50 :)

Amen. Like make all throwing items useful, which means making javelins, thrownaxes, knives and darts more powerful. Or at least javelins and axes more powerful. sithlord_man
Magic needs more updates, Ranged has gotten better weapons and ammo over the past year or so, but armor, as said, could get an update 99 FM Acheived on Friday December 26th 2008Click for my blog|Mass Effect Discussion Thread|Nation Creation/Create your own Country Forums
highlanders
Crossbows + enchanted bolts, crystal bow, dark bow + dragon arrrows, chins, armardyl armour, there's already a lot of stuff. 2480+ total
Gravy
It's balanced in my opinion for now. It's got a KO weapon, it's good insane bonuses with restrictions. MicroLegionnaire
The armour is more in need of updates than the attack, there's plenty of that (Enchanted bolts, darts, throwing knives, chins, normal arrows...) But its a lot more varied than many other skills, as mentioned before.
re4p3r1
range has tons of armor and weps but once you get to a high lvl around 70+ i'd say things get a little limited. in armor you have either black d hid-the most common, armadyl, void, or 3a-good luck getting those, theres also karils but its bonus is lower than black d and its effect isnt all that useful in weps there magic short and rune c bow-the most common, crystal bow-expensive and difficult to get, dark bow-nice spec but flawed, then theres the others knives, darts, javs, and there ok
vesuvius27
I think that Range could use a few more armours, but on the whole, it's pretty diversified. It has many different weapons. It has quests for experience. There are many different safespots that you can use to kill monsters. My Blog - Fishing 82/
