blade995
first thing you ahve to do is UPDATE WINDOWS. You only have SP!, SP@ has been out for sometime now. Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all critical updates. EDIT: sorry didn't realize untill after i posted this that your on windows2003, thought you were on XP. (would caught myself sooner if tip.it doesn't load so slow) You are up to date on windows2003

Teh_Miirshak
i skimmed throught it... there is nothing about a 64 bit system in there. it all suggests stuff i've done more then once ( i'm not a complete noob behind the comp ) i just figured maybe someone here has had same problems and fixed it somehow... still stuck without RS. PS : off to sleep now i'll check back tomorrow to see if there is any new posts :)
Pyro
Windows 2003 was not designed for desktop use, as it is a server system. I suggest switching to the latest desktop system within the windows family, which is Windows XP. Preferably the 32-bit version, due to the fact that so many programs and drivers are incompatible with the 64-bit version.

Mercifull
I tried searching the Java official forums but found nothing but ppl also having problems. My only suggestion is that you contact SUN and enquire about a 64bit compatable java. As Pyro said, its not meant to be used as a desktop operating system. I don't see why you would be unable to do so on a Desktop OS. If you use the computer for anything except hosting, Windows 2003 was not designed for you. I`m using this with no problems from sun java. thats what i indeed have. and after a few installs / uninstalls of java everything is fine :) thnx for the help all of you. and to pyro. i bought a computer, i bought an OS, i payed quite abit for both and now i should not use it ? seems abit odd. maybe it wasn't designed for me, but it should still WORK. [PS] anything weird about my hijack log ? or was everything ok ?
kingjoe2002
Geez Windows 2003 isnt designed to run everyday desktop apps. Ur safest best is to use Windows XP 64bit. Its just like Windows NT not running DirectX. The WinNT line has its limitations and pluses. also what version of Win2003 is it? As far as i know there is Professional, Small Server, Server and whatever. Of course, you can probably get it to run, but its just not worth spending time trying to figure it out when you can have a better solution. btw i hope you dont have Intel Itanium...cuz they are not backward compatible like AMD64
vronin
kingjoe2002, we were talking about Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Version 2003, Service Pack 1... and not about Windows 2003 x64 Edition here`s a picture
