  1. Ya because you are in di. Di is better than you guys. Face it. I am not even in di nor do I plan on joining di but I still think that di is better than you. Why does the number 1 clan run from number 2 on a daily basis? why is it the number 2 clan hunting the number 1 clan? Why does the number 1 clan get owned by the number 2 clan every time they meet? doesn't really make sence. 1. Ds 2. Di 3. Bk 4. Gladz 5. Rsd 6. Exer 7. The 8. Anarchy 9. Cor 10. Eos dude *, rofl, sorry that made no sence, im not di? and if they own DS why did u put DS as number 1 lmao? oh, and this is an opinion thread, my opinion is that we are better. Ur double posting skills are scary as well
  2. It was impossible to find ds in the beginning when there was so many pink skirts with similar levels around them. Any no more whining c u guys in wildy where it really counts and hopefully we will get another war.
  3. WHAT I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IS HOW DS CANT EVEN RELEASE THEIR MEMBER LIST TO THE PUBLIC. The "#1" clan affraid to tell others who their members are. That is just totally ridiculous.
  4. Dont think Hyninn is in ANY clan. The interesting thing is that i cant find a memberlist for DS anywhere... and when i post on DS forums it gets ignored...
  5. lol if it is integrated then seriously buy a new one. Im suspecting that it is. Go into Device Managers and there should be a tab that say Sound, Multimedia and Game Controller (not sure if it is exactly that since im using my gf' mac right now). When u see your sound device go to its properties and from there you can update the driver or uninstall it. When you uninstall it you can be lazy and just restart the computer, the computer after restart will ask you to reinstall it anyway.
  6. well first i would check all the connections. Then i would see if u have the vol muted or way down. Provided that it is a hardware or software problem first update the driver or uninstall the sound card then try to reinstall it. What kind of soundcard do you have? Frankly when my sound mysteriously stopped working i just tossed it into the garbage. I had a Sound Blaster 5.1 Value. They are really cheap and the time you spend on it jsut isnt worth it. Bought a Chaintech AV-170 for replacement...which has better-than-Audigy sound quality for a fraction of the price. They dont sell it anymore but it uses VIA Envy24HT chipset. I would expect another card with the same have similar performance. If you ever come across one get it lol, you can even flash it into a Prodigy. Also it is not an AC97 card which means that it doesnt stupidly output 44.1 after converting it from 44.1khz to 48khz then back to 44.1khz.
  7. lol how are we supposed to know? you havn't told us what mp3 player you have :P look in your manual and/or take a close look at the player for any switches and buttons He gave the site. http://cnmemory.de They apparently have downloadable PDFs to look at. Additionally, it appears that it just acts like a removable drive, where you copy and paste MP3s from Explorer, like a Creative MuVo. (Except it uses more generic drivers). It also may just be that your MP3 files are damaged, if you got them off of KaZaa or a similar P2P service. I have a damaged MP3 of Bachman Turner Overdrive's "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and it works fine in Winamp, since Winamp pwns, and the fact that the computer has processing power to spare to try and repair and subsequently play the MP3 file on the fly. But with an MP3 player, damaged files just don't play (in my experience, anyway.) Or, it could be that the bitrate is so low that it doesn't play at the correct speed. My MP3 player only does 32 Kbps 22Khz MP3s and up, so when I tried to play a 24Kbps, 11Khz mp3, it played slowly, and detected the length incorrectly. It could also be that your mp3s are all incorrectly encoded using VBR (Variable Bit Rate). And just so you know, VBR sucks. I have another MP3 ("White Wedding") that is VBR, and Winamp incorrectly detects the length and my MP3 player doesn't play it correctly. So it sounds like MP3 corruption may be your problem. Get DBPowerAMP and rip a CD, then try putting those on your MP3 player. If those work, then your MP3s are mildly corrupted, and you should get them from somewhere that is reputable, like MP3Search, a russian music site. And before anybody screams "OMFGWTF!!11111 russhien muzak is teh ill3gal!" read this, and you'll see that it is. Actually, VBR is superior to flat rate encoding and it makes much more sense. When you need higher bitrate, it's supplied and when you don't the bitrate drops. If you encode an mp3 with a bad encoder, you can have problems with any type of encoding including VBR, but with a decent encoder, VBR is the best possible encoding (for size and quality). I find that a lot of p2p networks (especially bittorrent) are flooded with very LOW quality VBR files. VBR can be encoded at different qualities like any other mp3, and if done at a reasonable quality, it's great. Most of my mp3s are VBR (many encoded by myself with LAME) and I've neevr had a problem with any of my 4 (all different brands) mp3 players (plus the mp3 deck in my car and winamp) ever having issues with playing them or displaying their correct length. agreed lol, VBR is great if you use a good encode and decoder. When i rip music i always use VBR.
  8. There was this Chinese game i always wanted to try out. Forgot the name of it all of a sudden. Anyone want to enlighten me? It is really big (at least in China) right now.
  9. Those cheap ones from bidding channels really suck. They either comes with little memory or very bad sound quality. Just throw it away and buy either a Sony, iRiver or Cowon iAudio flash player. They cost like 100-200 bucks, but has much larger storage and sound quality. In the long run you save a bundle by not having to buy one every 2 days.
  10. try reformating it again. Heat sometimes can effect flash memory when u leave it in ur pocket for too long. Reformat it like any other drive and see if it works out. If not i think ur mp3 player is dead lol. Unless u got a write protect switch.
  11. Try to format the mp3 player like a flash drive?
  12. Bittorrent is the one p2p standard that can claim to have legit uses without bending the truth at all. You should really know this... quite popular way for sites with very little bandwidth to host files... I do know this, bus as i suspected he's using it to download anime cartoons ;) You dont download work stuff to home computer, theres serious security implications there. Especially using bit torrent when in theory anyone could download it if they knew the torrent location. Its also a common misconception that unlisensed fansubbed anime is legal to download, you are wrong. Contrary to your belief, its still illegal. ;) Ill give u the link if u seriously want to dl the stuff lol. Basically just data on houses sold over the past 10 years from the local mls (price range, features blah blah). Basically to study market trends. Yes it is technically illegal, however there has never been a case of someone gettting sued for dling unlicensed anime. Here is an article Fansubs violate copyrights We have to admit it: the distribution of fansubs is technically a violation of copyright under the WTO TRIPS agreement. However the TRIPS agreement does not demand that distribution of copyrighted material is a criminal offence unless it is done on a commercial scale. This means it is up to the copyright holder to bring the offender to court. The copyright of unlicensed material is held by the original creator. In the case of anime this usually means the Japanese distribution company. If something is licenced, the licensee holds the copyright and thus the right to sue any copyright infringers within the area covered by the license. (source: ato's forum post) Up until now fansub groups have had little to worry about legal pressure from Japan. However US companies are more likely to sue, therefore it is an additional reason for fansub groups to stop distributing a series once it gets licensed in the US. Some studios even support fansubs because who is going to pay upwards of $300 for a series if they never watched it? I watch the fansubs and if i like it alot, i buy the DVD release of it. Im not gonna wait a year for it to get to the U.S. when im dying to and can get my hands on it much eariler.
  13. not necessarily. I use BT primarily to dl databases for my intern job at a local real estate firm. Its a pain to go back and forth to transfer the files so i set up a seeder on a computer in the office and i dl the stuff overnight. I can get like 120kps on a single computer. However if i divide the db into diff parts and use diff computers to dl it i can dl it much faster. But i dont want to spend time ripping an existing db into smaller parts. The other use i put it to is to dl fansubbed anime. Which is NOT illegal if it has not been licensed where i live (the U.S.). They take a year to license so by the time when it becomes piracy its off my computer ages ago lol
  14. Im wondering if it is possible to have more than 1 computer dl and write onto 1 hard drive. Say my old computer that i uses as a download server (stuffed 3 400gig drives into it blah) dl a file with bittorrent. My desktop, dles the same thing, and over my network writes onto the hard drive on the server. I tried to do this with BitComet but it keeps giving me problems. Would be nice since i would have a larger share of the seeder's upload so it would be close to double my dl speed. If i get 2 computer to work i can add my 2 laptops and my sister's and parents computer to it lol. Dling a 20gig file at 20kps is driving me nuts :P
  15. I had 2 Ti-83s. Lost one so i had to buy another. There is a blackmarket in my school where ppl who find calculators resell em for like 20 bucks lol. TI-89 is banned, however i always wanted to rip apart a Ti-89 and stuff it into a Ti-83 shell :) Also whats a graphing calc without Phoenix?
  16. They are $340 (with an online coupon, you can google buy.com coupon and find it, easy) with free shipping from buy.com  anyway i bought the Cowon. I really dont like Apple's sound quality. Sounds so flat. Plus it has the juice to run video and a very nice screen...so why force us to wait for the next gen Ipod? Anyway ill post some pics of the Cowon when i get it from Amazon.
  17. i was gonna say the same rofl. Most ppl pk in teams now. Verac is a waste castle pking and deep wildy ur have a team of 99 str w/ whips or ancient mages. Ur get owned easily. Plus you have more to lose than them. It comes down to they kill u once, they get like 8mil. You have to kill them 40 times to make that back. Statistically ur lose alot of gp.
  18. Even using it has a hard drive i barely get 20 gig of useage so the rest is pretty much waste. Id rather have a player with better sound quality than the ipod for less the space even if the same price. Now creative i know has much better sound quality (signal to noise is at 96db vs 90db for ipod) The ipod's lower range seems to have been cut off, you need a very bassy headphone to even it out. Anyway i think im gonna bite the bullet and just shell out $360 bucks for the Cowon X5. It looks great and has tons of features and really good sound.
  19. Your computer overheated most likely. The Ati 9800 is a pretty hot card. Check to see if its vented properly (no PCI card next to it) and see whats the rating on ur case. Worst case scenario u will need a more powerful computer case fan. I would try to buy an aftermarket fan for the 9800 as well. Most likely it is the card. That way not only do you have better ventilation you can overclock it to a 9800XT like i did to my old pc :) Just need to flash the card and u got urself a 9800XT lol. *looked at pic* Yeah its ur video card. Most likely overheating since with XP i doubt it can be installed wrong. Did u use an Omega driver or just the Windows/ATI driver? Omega drivers can cause some problem on some computers. I would try to reinstall the driver. If it doesnt work try measure the temp of the card. I suspect its overheating but there can be other causes. (usually if ur card's driver is bad or the whole thing is fried you would have got distorted image or none at all, in some rare cases ur hardware acc will be gone)
  20. I had a 60gb Ipod Photo that i bought last month. However recently my gf borrowed it and she loved it so much that she gave me $350 cash and told me to buy another  (cough the headphone + accessories + unit = $400, but she is my gf afterall) Anyway i was wondering if i should bother getting another ipod. Iv always felt that the ipod sound quality wasnt what it should be so i looked around on some players on the market. First i checked out the iRiver H340, however i thought it looked cheap and doesnt have the flair the ipod does. Second i looked at the Cowon X5. Now here is where the problem comes. The unit is very sharp looking, scratch resistant black aluminum and tons of features from video playback to built-in mic. The biggest plus is the sound quality is much better. Downside is that it doesnt work with any online music store but i never use them anyway. The Sony offering was nice, but i didnt like its look either. It does have the best controls though and its very small for a 20gb unit. Now my question is has anyone got any experience with the X5? Its a Korean company and iv never known anyone to have it. HOwever ratings are generally very good.
  21. That sounds pretty good :) My friend has the Pentium D and it runs very well. I may just hold out until the laptop version comes out since I'm in no rush now. I'll still look into buying the Inspiron. Thanks King :D Either buy it now or wait a whole year lol. Cuz august usually are when Dell gives u the best deals. As for the 9300 being too big that is perfectly true. You wont be taking it to class everyday for sure. Im going to buy a Inspiron 9300 (or whatever model number next year ) and a Toshiba Protege R200. Wont come cheap (good $5000 bucks for both) but its the best solution for me. Or u can buy a Dell Axim.
  22. Actually they will run cooler since they dont have to squeeze so many transistors onto 1 core. They are coming out later next year.
