Average lobs per day for serious player

Featured Replies

I was wondering how much lobbies a serious RS player could catch a day.

Does 6k seem unrealistic? I need 122k lobbies to get 99 fishing, and as soon as my college schedule settles down, I could probably lay down 9-11 hours a day on this game.

Thanks.

Seeing from your sig, you have at least 76 fishing. If you work hard for 10 hours, you may get very lucky and get 2k. But you would probably get 1k a day. 6k? Never.

Don't do lobs. Do either fly fishing for quick exp or monkfish for slower exp and good money. Both ways are faster exp than lobsters by a long shot (you catch monks at about the same rate as lobs).

If you haven't done the quest, the time spent doing it will be miniscule compared to how much time you'll throw away fishing lobsters compared to monks.

If you aren't a member, I'd consider it. $5 a month for something you're planning on spending 9-11 hours a day on seems reasonable.

9-11 hours a day?! Holy...

I think my eyes would die and my brain would become a mud puddle...

I can only manage 1k on my good days through lots of encouragement from my friends. If i'm solo fishing...less than 500 >.> I browsed other forums and forget about fishing. Fly fishing is faster, but are you using the lobs for cooking or selling them? Monks are also a good option like the other player said. Sharks later on maybe? If you want some cash that is.

Good luck and do remember not to kill your eyes...

ON BREAK

at your level and time playing i would say 2.5k-3k in the early stages and up to 3k-4.5k later on. i would seriously suggest monks over anything to 99 fishing

At level 99 I can catch 300-350 lobsters in an hour. That's maybe a dozen or two fish faster than monkfish. Trust me, it is NOT worth catching lobs to 99 fishing. You could be looking at an extra 200 hours. That's enough time to get 99 woodcutting afterwards. Oh, and you'd lose out on millions of gp as well.

Catch Monkfish for best xp and profit, just sell raw, don't bother cooking them even at 80 Cooking w/Gauntlets, you still burn 1-3 monks for each full inv.

Agreed. Personally I use monks that I catch, but I sell the raw ones and buy them cooked. makes a nice little profit and both transactions go through instantly
