seriously. it's another fish you can fish for at level one. have you ever noticed the massive amounts of fish you can catch as it is?! seriously check out the fishing guide on here! i've never caught sardines, herrings, mackerals, cod, pike, rainbow fish, or bass while i was getting my fishing level up. i went from shrimps, anchovies, trout, salmon, tuna, lobs, swords, lobs, monks. in that order. yes i remember the order. shut up. look you can make balls of wool, make leather gloves, beer glass, a pot, and/or cut opals at level 1 crafting. i don't see you complaining! there's not even a crafting tutorial and it's one of the most wildly used skills in rs. in my opinion more useful than fletching, and maybe at par with rc (not in profits. in importance in ways you get around every time you log on) and we all know how important our runes are to us. if i didn't have my runes i'd like die. same thing if i didn't have my wealth, glory(s) *just hit 38 of them wooo*, fury, or how about that dragon hide?? die i tell you. die.

You can spam Jagex's inbox with links and "lrn2google ffs" all damn day but in the end its their game. Do we REALLY need a freshwater and sal[bleep]er version of the SAME STUPID FISH? No, we dont. So, we think shrimp = sal[bleep]er, Lumbridge is not sal[bleep]er, therefore we need new fish.

 

 

 

Does it even matter that much anyway? Is your game ruined because they have some new fish to help authenticate the tutorial island process?

As one of the TET pointed out (Barihawk), a crayfish IS a freshwater SHRIMP. So even though there different subspeciaes (lkike various breeds of dogs), Jagex actualy did not add a new fish to the game since there just the fresh and salt water varieties of the same thing. Shrimp.

shrimps are boring. chicken is boring. cooked meat is boring. anchovies are boring. come on we've all heard of those. but CRAYFISH!? :ohnoes: i've never heard of them to be perfectly honest. and I've never fished them. i never really cared i didn't see any one go ape [cabbage] when they found out there was a new slayer master for lvl 35 slayer. so what i'm finding out more often than not is that-- if there's an update that only benefits low level players- it doesn't benefit any one at all.

 

when you start out you want the game to be easy and simple jagex just saw a way to do it via crayfish. i tell you this game is a lot harder when your level 3 fresh starting out than when your level 110 with stats like these:

 

 

 

i tell you what. it's much harder to walk to varrok than it is to telleport there. it's also much harder to RUN there without the boots of lightness, penace gloves, and spottier cape. it's much harder to chop down a tree and get the most logs from it than it is to have a bronze axe chopping down a tree that only yields one log per- tree. it's much harder to stay alive with your hp level only being 10 and the best readily available food is only healing 3.

 

 

 

again- jagex just made starting runescape a little easier now instead of "omfg [bleep] this game"

They had to add them because the water by lumbridge is all fresh and shrimps live in salt water.
