July 22, 200818 yr So I'm gonna be training to 99 str after I get 99 wc and I was wondering what the best weapon (other than a gs) is. Is it d scim? dds? anchor? ss? or something I'm not even thinking of...
July 22, 200818 yr Yeah, most commonly accepted are D scim and def or SS, but it does depend on which monster your killing. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
July 22, 200818 yr Author I'm gonna train it through slayer, so a variety of them, lol. Asian, the anchor is a members' quest reward.
July 22, 200818 yr I think he is asking why you would mention such a bad weapon for training weapon, not what the weapon itself is. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
July 22, 200818 yr I read on a study that the obby sword + zerker necklace was better than the d scim. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
July 22, 200818 yr Author Oooh. Well there's a thread over on the rs forums about anchor vs ss...so it's on the list of options. It has a wicked str bonus, but it's mad slow. Thought I should include it just in case.
July 22, 200818 yr I read on a study that the obby sword + zerker necklace was better than the d scim. Invisible bonuses do not stack, so it is not a viable method to train slayer. It is not that good at training stregnth anyways. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

It is not that good at training stregnth anyways. Actually, you are wrong. The bonus from the berserker necklace is a 20% damage bonus. It adds 20% to the damage that you would have done without it. It is not a strength bonus. So, it stacks with the 15% strength bonus of the black mask or slayer helmet. I'm not sure how good it is for training strength because I have never used one, though, but I hear that it is better than a dragon scimitar. July 22, 200818 yr I'd go with a ss, it's faster than a gs for sure. Or whip on controlled if you're training slayer anyway.
