Help Cant Beat Jad

I just cant seem to beat Jad, reached up to the healers 4 times and whenever I am trying to attack all of them to get them on me. I end up dying because I forget to switch prayers in time. I am nearly flawless in the caves untill I get to the healers. Do you guys have any tips that can help me? I have heard that the sound helps but I so far I have only used to the animation and my sound was off.

 

 

 

I just dont know how to properly switch prayers and have time to attack the healers before they heal jad fully. So please any help is appreciated a lot. Thanks!

 

 

 

Another thing I have a problem is when I cant see Jad when he spawns and he ends up hitting me with a massive damage when his magic attack while I have range prayer on. Any help on that?

When he is about to spawn, stand in the north east corner with range and piety/15% def on. On the healers just attack one, then wait for jad to hit, attack another one, and wait for Jad etc

Will try that soon, do you think the sound helps or should I stick to the animation. Another thing that confuses me is his mage attack. Especially the animation when he is being attacked looks exactly like when he is doing his mage attack and I get confused switch prayers when i shouldnt have.

Yeah his magic attack kind of looks like his range attack, the old Jad was probably easier.

 

I don't use sounds and never will. Just watch some vids off youtube for the new jad and you won't forget the animations for mage/range

Sound will help for this, as will keeping in your head about when he's going to attack again. If you know that he's about to attack and he makes that motion, he's probably maging. Also be aware that if you mess up, you actually have a good chunk of time to switch back without taking damage. Change back to the right prayer as soon as you realize what you've done, even if you think it's too late (unless you already have the red 60 on you, of course).

Thanks the mage attack is so hard to see properly, sometimes he doesnt even do it properly.

I've heard the magic attack sounds like the retribution prayer detonating, don't know if it still does. So wait with range prayer on, and if you hear that sound, swap to mage prayer.

heres a tip. try using the f keys to switch from ur inventory to ur prayer. i belive the inventory is f4 and prayer is f6

hey i got my fire cape last ngiht, ye i had the same problem as you on my first try yesterday, i died when i spent too much time on the healers and messed up on my prayer switching, what i did on the second time was to let the healers heal jad until i was comfortable to attack one healer then attack jad, then attack another healer but with my prayer interface open just in case he changes attacks on me, i used sound to help me but i did get confused. when you attack the healers make sure that jad is going to use the same attack twice in a row like 2 ranged attack then attack one healer then go back to jad and concentrate on his next move!

i tried 6 times before i got my cape >_<

 

you have just got to keep calm and it is not too hard if you concentrate

 

just try and get close to jad just near enough that you arnt on its melle attack. he slams down for range and if you dont see a attack for a while just on magic if u have problem with fireball because its really obvious when he uses range attack and then when healers come just attack one at a time then change prayer/pot then go for another until you have all 4.

 

you really dont need to worry about health if you are 70+defense

there is another advice i got for you. when the healers come out don't attack at once, wait until u see jad does a double attack (range twice or mage twice) that way you can stay on one prayer, and mean while just range the healers once, that should stop them.

Well predictably I died again, so going to try again today. Except this time my mom was yelling at me and I was really distracted. :lol: This is going to be my sixth try so wish me luck guys. And thanks for all your help.

 

 

 

 

 

By the way gold is my pure, so my main's stats are:

 

 

 

80 Defence

 

75 Range

 

70 Prayer

Another question I have is if he healers manage to heal Jad fully I heard when you bring him down to half health they respawn, should I worry about that?

What you want to do is kill them, once they do and they have managed to heal jads health, you shouldn't have to worry about them re spawning

but don't let them heal jad. if you allow that your basically going to give yourself more chance to make a mistake

Well I got back to the healers, but while I was attacking them I tried to attack the healer that was behind jad. So I ended up rushing right into Jad and his meelee attack which koed me. So another question while I try for what feels like the 10th time to get that cape, is there a weapon that has further range than a crossbow. By this I mean is there a range weapon that I can equip when the healers come that will allow me to get them if they are further away from my range. Thanks.

Should I just keep at long range the whole time because I find out that as soon as I am concentrating at something other than his attacks I usually end up dying. But I will do what you said thanks!

Well put it on as soon as you see the healers, but if you really think that will hinder your performance put it on before.
