Tortoise shells

Whats the quickest way of getting these? i'm not prepared to spend 5k on them in the g.e so i need the fastest way of getting them. And also how fast would that method get them?

I'm not sure of the fastest method, but I know you need those crystal chimes so you can actually hurt them. I'm sure melee works well. I don't think they're a very hard monster to kill.

Yea, kill warped tortoises for them, you need to finish the path of glouphrie. They are pretty easy they are level 90 and can drop up to 3 at a time

Warped I would say, I tried to get some from regular ones and i got about 5 in 50 kills =/

If you're buying these just to get exp from your gold charms, it's WAY more effective to just make terrorbirds and put the time you've saved toward collected more charms. Tortoise shells are a pain.

 

 

 

If you want the beast of burden, I would throw in an offer for over 100 of the pouches at max and leave it there while you collect tortoise shells. They'll sell eventually.

I'm not willing to spend 4-5kgp for each pouch when i'l rarely use them, the only time i will use them is for the odd slayer task, which is why i just want to get myself 10-20, i guess ill be going to warped

You are aware that the time you spend is still worth the 50-100k, right? This is evidenced by the fact that when you get the pouches you could sell them or keep them. In other words, you WILL be spending 4-5k every time you use a pouch, regardless of how you came across it. Might as well use a terrorbird.

I don't take runescape as serious as some, i don't go by the assumption that Everything is money, time is money bull, i'd rather have fun getting an item and exp than make enough money to buy the item but be bored out of my brain for ages, its a game, for fun.

I'm pretty sure you can't use perfect shells.

 

 

 

Whether or not you choose to accept it, you have a choice between turning a tortoise pouch into 5k or summoning it. If it's not worth 5k to use a tortoise, then it's not worth 5k to use a tortoise. I personally think it's worth way way more than 5k to use a tortoise, but if you feel differently, there's no reason to fool yourself.

Perfect shells can only be brought to Barlak in Dorgesh-kaan in exchange for 500 crafting xp and coins (I forget how many but it's like 500-1k)

Go for warped tortoises. They really aren't so bad, they drop rune warhammers/pickaxes very regularly, as well as lots of noted mith ores, noted coal ores, adamant ores and stackable swamp tar. I never got why people hate them so, they're great slayer tasks. Even when I keep the ores and the shells instead of selling them, I easily make 250k from killing 150 tortoises, and about 30 shells. No reason to buy them when you need so few.

Warped Tortoises are by far way better for getting the shells. I had them as a slayer task and ended up with like 3 rune warhammers a 4 rune picks, one and a half full invs of shells, and it was an easy task.

Killing the warped tortoises. They drop 1-4 at a time and is a farly common drop. Almost as cmmon as getting a rannar from Abby Spectres.
