Level 2 Mans or Level 2 Men?

Featured Replies

In the past I have joked around by telling people to train on Level 2 Mans, however, more than often people have started to debate whether or not to call them Mans or Men.

I debate that they should be pronounced "Level 2 Mans" because Man is technically their name. But what are your views on this? :-k

Men. We don't say, "Give me 10 Amulet of Powers." We say, "Give me 10 Amulets of Power." I think good grammar should still be consistent, even though it's only a video game.

Definitely men. Their name isn't man. I'm sure they all have regular names as well, we just aren't interested in knowing them.

Honestly, this is a pretty random topic with very little discussion value =P

Isn't "mans" some card game expression? Anyways, joke topic.

What has the debate forum come to...?

Um, debating?

Since Man is the characters name, then it should be "Mans." A few characters do have real life names, like in Canifis. Some of those characters are named just like Man is the characters name in Lumbridge.

Call them mans if you wish, everyone will think you are from Mars. No discussion or debating value here whatsoever; they ARE men.

man = singular

men = plural

mans = grammatical fail.

Sheesh

Do you honestly believe that all lvl 2 men are named "Man"? Are all black demons named "Black Demon"?? Not all NPCs have names. Sheesh.

Anyway it could be a bit confusing down the pub

Man: who's round is it?

Man: Not mine, I bought the last ones

Man: not you, him

Man: me?

Man: no, him

Man: man! This is confusing

Man: You talking to me?

etc. etc.

("Who's on first" anyone)

I agree with highlanders

Oh yes, sheesh again

Teeg

I don't always type in proper in English but I think calling them "men" is a given.

So since the name of an item is, "Amulet of Power" the plural form should be called "Amulet of Powers"?

Wouldn't that be Amulets of power?

That's exactly his point. This is the most decidedly stupid debate I have ever seen in this forum =P

In a street racing game there was this guy with a powerful ride called Manny... but probably not a nickname for "Man" either, or?

Locked - I'm not sure a debate about how grammatically correct "Mans" is over "Men" is something that should be allowed on these boards, sorry.
