animal masks

i havent played runescape for a long time, but ive heard a lot of people offering animal masks in trades for phats/third age.

 

 

 

whats with these masks? are they rare or expensive?

They're rare treasure trail rewards which are ridiculously undervalued on the GE.

They look cool, but deffinetly not worth the street price for them ( I don't think people actually sells them for p hats and 3 a items, methinks they go up to 15-20M~~)

They aren't worth a party hat by themself, but they are absolutely used to balance trades.

Third Age and Animal Masks are kinda dominating the entire world of Runescape, particularly for merchants. Just to letcha know. Many people keep offers for third age pieces and masks in the grand exchange in the hope some poor fool will sell them one and the buyer makes a profit of tens of millions.

It's not really a profit :S

 

 

 

I buy Gilded Skirts in the Grand Exchange (600kish) and then sell them for 1.2-1.3m ea, along with enough willows to balance out the trade.

 

I'm simply converting my willows into gold pieces.

 

I still have the same value of items as I did beforehand, but now I have 40k less willows and more cold, hard cash.

 

 

 

But yeah, animal masks are a reward for level 2 treasure trail clues.

 

I'm currently hunting for them at Ice Warriors, no luck yet though.

 

For my own use, of course.

 

I don't have 15m in junk lying around in my bank.

3a Melee Helm: 150-160

 

3a Melee Plate: 250-300

 

3a Melee Legs: 300-325

 

3a Melee Kite: 90-95

 

 

 

3a Range Coif: 60-65

 

3a Range Top: 80-90

 

3a Range Legs: 110-120

 

3a Range Vambs: 30-35

 

 

 

Sheep Mask: 8-12

 

Penguin Mask: 10-14

 

Bat Mask: 12-15

 

Wolf Mask: 20-25

 

Cat Mask: 25-30

 

 

 

Gilded Legs: 3-3.5

 

Gilded Skirt: 1.1-1.4

I seriously don't get the point of junk trading though. It's not like it's impossible to change prices on the ge -.- if this many people know to junk trade, don't you think it's enough to at least make a difference? Just get everyone to buy/sell at max till the wanted price is reached.

And how does the price being right help me when I sold my mask for 10mil less months ago?
