quickest way to make good money F2P?

Featured Replies

What's the quickest way to get money F2P? So far, I've tried chopping yews and mining coal. Just to warn you all, I've not played RS in 2 years, not since I got fed up with the Chinese-named bots, and so might need to have alot of stuff explained in more detail than usual. My current goal is to get my hands on a trimmed rune set. I also don't have any weapons or armor aside from rune pick and axe.

EDIT: my stats:

mining: 60

combat: 57

Magic: 57

WC: 70

fishing: 53

cooking: 53

runecraft: 45

crafting: 48

Smithing: 50

Thanks alot.

Hmm... I would say go for coal rather than yews. And, of course, mine at the mining guild in Falador. That's just my personal opinion.

And take an air tiara, laws, water runes (or water staff) and runes essence with you. On the way to the crafting guild craft some airs at the air altar and tele back to falador after you mined a full inventory of gold in the guild.

And try the new lumbridge achievement to get an explorer's ring. More infos in the knowledgebase at runescape.com.

From my own experiences, mining gold in the crafting guild would be your best bet to make good money/hr.

I have to agree with Mining Gold at the Crafting Guild. It is a very efficient way to make profit. I know this is way out of your reach, but the best way to make money is by mining Rune Ore.

Yup, gold mining is a good idea.

Summary:

Wear brown apron, air tiara, water staff, explorer ring. Rune pick in inventory. Inventory filled with rune ess.

Tele to cabbage field, walk to air altar, craft, exit.

Walk to Crafting guild, mine inventory of gold, tele to Falador, bank, repeat.

now for some more questions:

whats with all the different colored rune kiteshields and helms? Like the ones that are all purple and red and everything? I've already gotten the platebody and teh skirt and don't know if I should go for regular trimmed helms and shields or the really colorful stuff. And I don't care if it's expensive as I'm willing to work.

I think you're thinking of heraldic. It has the same stats as normal rune armor, so there's no reason to get it unless you have spare cash and like the way it looks.

I don't mean trimmed. I mean the ones that have different colors in their squares. and the helms that have at least two colors aside from blue on them.

and yeah, I've been buying up trimmed stuff for the looks (but definitely not for the beggars that follow me around the exchange place). and never mind on the shields. Settled for berzerker. Now all that's left is to get a helm and a regular weapon.

Get a full rune helm and a rune scimitar.

Get a full rune helm and a rune scimitar.

I would recommend that too. The Rune Scimitar is the weapon of choice for many, the Full Helmet is probably the best F2P 'hat'. It is cheaper and looks better than the 'bucket helmets' anyway,
