August 11, 200817 yr I am trying to get 70 smithing, so what is the best way to train it in F2P? I am looking for the most efficient way, as in not the fastest, or not the cheapest, but the best overall. Go ahead and suggest the fastest as well, and the cheapest though just so I know, but what do you guys think I am really lost... :?
August 11, 200817 yr Most efficient? I cannot really answer that, I am not that great at Smithing. Fastest and Most Profitable? Steel Bars and Adamant Bars respectively. Good luck with your goals. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

August 11, 200817 yr If your current status is F2P I wouldn't recommend using Nature runes. If you can't make them yourself then you're loosing money. You'll find clicking to get to the furnace and smelt there is close to how long it takes to click to superheat. Let's see... Of course mith bars are good xp, but I'm not sure how much they go for nowadays and if people buy them often. Addy bars are out of the question since you don't have 70 Smithing. Now, steel bars would be what I'd recommend. Iron is cheaper than mithril and you only need half the coal per bar. This means you'll be able to smelt more steel bars per run than you would with mithril. Mind you, it will take a while. But in F2P it's pretty much the best you can do. Plus steel bars are always in demand, and you'll be able to make your money back and even a profit on the side! Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.
August 11, 200817 yr Steel/Iron plates would be pretty quick. For mage exp, buy coal and mithril ores, and superheat.
August 11, 200817 yr Steel plates, high alch or sell. ² Did those till 79 smithing on f2p. Costed about 12 gp/xp (over a year ago so dunno about now but probably less since coal has dropped). - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
August 11, 200817 yr Steel/Iron plates would be pretty quick. For mage exp, buy coal and mithril ores, and superheat. Smithing plates, either iron or steel, and alching them is the fastest, but making mithril bars will be a lot cheaper and will give more mage xp. Does it really matter whether I was right? #-oThis is Tipit. There is nothing more important than being right. Common sense is nothing more than a deposit of prejudices laid down in the mind before you reach eighteen.

I figure out how many steel plates I can make and break even while doing them. This is faster exp but no money. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
