August 17, 200817 yr Hey, I have the following questions about mining gold: 1. Would mining gold give me decent profit? 2. Would it take too long at my mining level? 3. What are the best places to mine it? 4. Would I make more money if I smelt them into bars, or should I simply sell them as ores? I'm P2P, stats in sig. Thanks! Retired Tip.It Crew Mapper.
August 17, 200817 yr 1. Yes, the profit is quite good. 2. Should be fine to start at 61. 3. If you've completed the Holy Grail and can also use fairy rings, then mine from the large gold area west of Brimhaven. When you have a full load, run the to hut to the north, blow the whistle, run to the northwest, and take the fairy ring to Zanaris. Then just take the fairy ring back. 4. No, gold ore sells for 3-4x of what gold bars sell for.
August 17, 200817 yr 1. Good profit 2. 60+ 3. If you've completed enlightened journey quest, and have 40 crafting, you can tele to cw, take the unlocked balloon route to the crafting guild, mine an inventory of gold, tele back to cw and repeat. 4. Ore is almost triple what bars are worth, but if you need smithing exp, smelt the ores at fally with gold smithing gauntlets. hope that helps : 99 Fletching - 08/14/08Fire Cape - 3/7/09Quest Cape - 12/29/0999 Defense - 3/17/10
August 18, 200817 yr Mining gold on P2P is EXTREMELY profitable because of those awesome gloves. Level 60+ seems to be a reasonable range that you can mine it pretty efficiently. Don't smith it into bars, the ore is what's worth more. As far as places, the Crafting Guild seems to be fine or the Grand Tree. Experiment with every spot and see what works best for you!

Thanks! 1.yes mining gold is very profitable. 2. no it would be pretty fast at your level. 3. if you've completed between a rock... and garden of tranquility (for the ring of charos(a)), you can mine gold at the arzinian mine, it has about 150 gold rocks, it's not usually busy, and it's easy to switch worlds if it is. and there's a dwarf who will deliver your gold to the bank for you, and he takes some ores (with the ring of charos (a) he takes about half of what he normally would.) it's quite a fast method, but i dont think it's the fastest. another method is with the necklace of skills, and fally tele tabs/runes. it's pretty quick also.
August 18, 200817 yr Take a look at this guide, lots of info regarding Mining/Smithing gold, plus a bunch of other stuff. 8,325th to 99 Firemaking 3/9/08 | 44,811th to 99 Cooking 7/16/084,968th to 99 Farming 10/9/09 | Runescaper August 2005-March 2010Tip.it Mod Feb. 2008-Sep. 2008 | Tip.it Crew Sep. 2008-Nov. 2009
August 18, 200817 yr Yep, check out that guide or I'll sue. (It's not mine but it's great) You'll be fine with that mining level, I'm OK with 56. You can make faster money with other methods but it depends on your motives. If you want to train mining go ahead, but it isn't the fastest money in the world. August 18, 200817 yr 1. Would mining gold give me decent profit? Yes, it would make you money. 2. Would it take too long at my mining level? No, you should be fine, but 55+ would be more beneficial. 3. What are the best places to mine it? All I know of is the Crafting Guild. 4. Would I make more money if I smelt them into bars, or should I simply sell them as ores? You are going to make less money if you smelt them into bars. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
