It means you can buy only 25k runes every 4 hours... :roll:

Thats not proof of manipulation, it is one of the limits set on the GE, ie you can only buy a maximum of 25k runes every 4 hours. And before you rant any further these limits are one of the things put into place to stop THE PLAYERS (namely merchanters) manipulating the prices.

Yes but why did my first offer for the same price not go through in an hour? meaning that offer was still in when 22k were instantly bought?

Well if part of the 17k bought as soon as you put up the 25k, then DUH its going to complete, because you it just happened that when you put it up the offer was going to go through anyway.

 

 

 

As to why it split? Who knows, your not suppose to put offers on the same item, the limit could get funky.

25k is the buying limit for runes.

 

 

 

I'll tell you what it means: It means that if you put in two offers for the same item at the same price, the newer one is more likely to get filled in first. It's not manipulation. The smoke rune has gone from 116 to 142 over the past month, gradually, and runes are traded in the hundreds of thousands on a daily basis.

no the 17k offer was put up first i had left it in for an hour and only a little over 2k had been bought so i put in an offer for 23k the amount to 25k instanly bought making my total 25k in 4 hours mkay now there was obviously supply for my order why did it not complete. Now the price on the dust rune jumped over 2 gp yesterday over a 20% gain which should have happened a while ago and was why i was trying to hoard some :)

I obviously can't speak on behalf of Jagex and none of us here know the ins and outs of the grand exchange, so I'm just going to attribute your order not going through the first time to the fact that the GE is still in beta and must have quite a few kinks to get out of the system.
