reddyrester
well personnaly id think maple logs to maple(u)'s would be the best best if u have a good friend that would buy them off of you,i say this since you would make 5 time the profit i think or 4 but either way it is well worth it
Imanwinner1
If you made them from yew longbows (u), you would only get half the xp, of making them from yew logs, then stringing them. So I would make them from the yew logs then, stringing them. Possibly also woodcutting the yews, then buying natures from the GE, or craft them if you want, then alch them, to make a profit. Thus earning Fletching, Woodcutting, Magic and possibly Runecrafting xp. Ex-Members

If you are to use maple long (u) you'd buy items on the Exchange and sell for forum prices with junk. You make about 100 gp/maple long (u). dorcus1
If you're gonna do it with yew longs, string but don't fletch. make yew longs (u) from the logs is a loss of money (around 20-30 ea last time i checked). Stringing yew longs would be a small profit. Personally, I say don't make yew longs. Adding feathers to mith bolts (u) is a better way of gaining fletching exp, since you don't need to bank and can do it almost anywhere. You do lose a bit of money (iirc 1gp/xp) but you get a lot of freedom in when you want to fletch. I've played a few rounds of Pest Control and guarded the knight. Whenever there weren't any monsters, I'd fletch. I could get 500-1000 fletching exp per PC round with mith bolts :P . And the prize money from PC let me break even on fletching \ . Or you could fletch bolts while hunting, or whatever activity has a built-in waiting time. "The best defence is to stay out of range" - French proverbBad luck happens. Learn and get over it. Laura
Maples longs are a waste of money and time. Sting yew longs, don't fletch them. It'll make you tad of a profit, and is about 20k exp faster than fletching.
Mike_Ike111
If you want to kill yourself out of boredom, you can just string the bows. If you want to take the slightly longer route, browsing the forums and taking it easy, you can make the whole bow from the yew log.
ilovecardj
Before broad bolts crashed, I was fletching those for 600k gp, 100k fletch exp per hour lol, but it does get tireseome. and the fletch market for those has died, you cant even profit anymore last time i checked. If your very rich you could fletch broad arrows for 600k exp/hour, but it costs like 4 gp per exp, and you will end up with over 1M untradable broad arrows in the end. Are you sure the xp rate is that high? If yes, I could save myself the boredom of making yew longs 80-85, I'd much rather make money and spend it on fletching instead of making yew longs
ilovecardj
yes it is that high, you can make 40k arrows per hour (average) and you get 15 exp per arrow Edit: just a note, If you plan to do this, put offers in a week or so in advance for feathers, you get 10k per 4 hours, also its very hard to buy unfinished broad arrow heads on the ge, but you can always try to get them for around 48 gp ea saving a bit more cash but generally buy arrow heads 50 gp from slayer master, feathers 4 gp from exchange = 54 gp per arrow and 15 exp Make 40k of them in an hour. The exp rate isn't that far off dragon arrows Just make sure you have the fletch ability from smoking kills reward points Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
