Inuashakent
If I'm fighting a quest monster or some monster that is many levels higher than me, which is the best attack style to use (accurate, aggressive, or defensive)? It really doesn't matter. The attack styles (crush, slash, stab, ect) matters, but not attack, str, controlled, or def. (It does, but barely.) Weapon, and monster? funion987
I guess I was sort of talking about in general. Maybe once I come across a specific case I'll ask.
Peterblue
Very sorry about highjacking this thread, but how do you change your preferred attack style? Mine seems to be str. wioneo
Click on the crossed swords icon(i think that's what it was, don't have the game open at the moment), to see the window to choose your attack style. I usually use the aggressive option if it's available in situations where the XP does not really matter, beacuase I remember hearing from somewhere that it adds 1 or 2 damage to your max hit, but I never cared enough to extensively test it. If aggressive is not an option, then I use accurate, because... you do less damage in defense mode. Didn't they use to explain this on Tutorial island? haven't been there for a while... Yes, The Agressive attack style does make your max hit increase. I meant, like, what it defaults to when you log in. It'll go to the one you were using when you logged out, or try to match it as best as possible. I would like to get the most difficult 99 in the game to accomplish. which is woodcutting. because I had a drunken night in philadelphia and sprayed a fire extinguiser, evacuated a 7 story hotel on the philly stadium, spent the night in jail.. then got on level 2 prob & have to pay 50 a month because I have a job. It's their way of collecting more money out of me.

Inuashakent
use strength... Why? Str increases str by 3, accurate by 3 attack, def by 3 def, controlled increases 1 to all. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
compfreak847
use strength... Why? Str increases str by 3, accurate by 3 attack, def by 3 def, controlled increases 1 to all. So if you hit the monster less then 50% of the time, use accurate. Otherwise use str. Don't bother with controlled or defence; food invalidates it. You have to calculate in your max, accuracy, ect. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
