Castlewars

Featured Replies

Castlewars has always been one of my favorite mini games in RS but lately I have been seeing lots and lots of people who are at such a low level they can only hert their team by taking up a space that a level 100 could have taken. I think there should be a level requirement of at least 50 total combat level to make the games more exciting, your thoughts?

This should be in bugs and suggestions.

The only changes that castlewars needs is more rewards.

This is just one of many mini-game flaws that we have to deal with, as nothing will be done about it. *cough*Trawler free-loaders*cough*

I'd post some suggestions as to how they could improve them but it wouldn't do any good.

Just make the best of it, you can't expect to have a team full of lvls 100+ all the time, or even any time for that matter. :P

You're playing it for fun, aren't you? (those rewards are hardly any interest to someone with more than 50 combat...) Then just try to enjoy it instead of reminding yourself of its downsides.

Pretty much what Dragon said.

Thread terminated.

I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator?

No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.

They want to try the game out so let them, dang. A couple of low levels won't matter much. And castlewars is for fun, if they have fun let them.

Most people playing Castle Wars aren't playing it for the tickets, but for the fun of it, including low level players. If they enjoy getting slaughtered and being on a losing team then they should be allowed to play really, it's only a select few who get annoyed anyways.

Thanks to Quarra for the awesome sig!

there is no maximum amount of players allowed into a castle wars game (well, about a thousand on each team ;-D)

if there are an excess of newbs then both teams should receive approximately the same number, and they should cancel eachother out

Agreed. There is only really an issue with low leveled players when there is only one human team, for example Pest Control or the Trawler.

I just wish that I could have fun and get great rewards as well... :(

I have always enjoyed Castle Wars, and I'm sure a lot of the low levels love it as well. I think that because in Castle Wars people can do other things rather than fight such as heal other people, or block people, barricade then there shouldn't be a level requirement. Castle Wars does indeed need updating, but level requirements should not be part of that update.

I think the huge variety of levels is what makes this mini game exciting. I don't support.

Maybe multiple objectives instead. That way, low levelled players don't just hang around the flag, take it, and die outside of the castle =(
