Any random website can make you agree to a bunch of terms. The terms could say practically anything. "If you click I agree, you must give me your house, all your money, and become my slave forever." If you click agree, do you really think you are bound to do it? Nope. Legally, it's a gray zone wether your virtual possesions are owned by you or by Jagex. In the game, Jagex has authority and can ban you for going against their terms. But in the law, as long as what you're is legal, you're bound to jack [cabbage] to what the terms say as their just arbritary stuff Jagex made-up, and obviously Jagex is not the word of law. I'm sick of you stupid people, it's not hard to understand.

I see where you're coming from, but I'd just like to say that, by technical definition, this isn't irony. Irony is when the outcome is the opposite of the intended outcome.

What you've said is that Jagex tried to remove RWT by removing certain activities, but even then, it was still possible to RWT=not irony.

^ agree. Many other games like Hero Online has been taken over by RWT

How did the updates affect me? I used to sell my finished good at 50% lower than the the going market price because I just wanted to offload the items QUICK. Before the GE, i would sell cooked lobster at about 100 ea because I just wanted to get rid of them and i always did quick.

 

 

 

Now with the GE, I am "forced" to sell my cooked lobsters at the current market price. Now people complain that prices on goods in RS has dropped dramatically, and I do feel for them, but it helped me out since now I have to sell things at the higher price. I sell EVERYTHING i offload at the lowest price which is still much higher than prices I normally sold everything at when there was no GE.

 

 

 

So yes, I have been affected by the updates, I can now cut and fish without auto'ers and I make on average 50-75% more money than i used to without sacraficing my time trying to find a buyer.

 

 

 

So I thank you Jagex for making the game many times more efficient for players like myself.

The only reason that you are not legally bound is because the content is only specific to the game. Effectively this is a list of laws for your actions in the game, and the punishment for breaking the rules? Being banned.

He's saying the laws of the game correlate with rules for real life. Both have punishements or breaking these laws.

I think that the updates have benfited RuneScape overall. While it is still possible to RWT (though I don't know the details), it must have been substantiably weakened, or Jagex would have removed what was possibly the worst recieved update since the begining of RuneScape.

 

 

 

Even if it is still possible, it no longer effects innocent players; it's now actualy possible to cut yew logs, for instance.
