Sorry in advance is this is the wrong forum :D

I was playing C.W and I kept on hearing players say "stack" or "ip changer"..I don't exactly know what these terms mean and was curious because it was used more than once by more than one player, can anyone clarify what those 2 words mean? ::'

Thanks!

You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?

Hi, I've put in a request to have this thread moved to 'Tech & Computers"... Even though the question you're asking is over my head a little, I am sure that you'll be able to get more help over in the other board, haloffx... ::'

From what I've heard from some major CW players, there are "good" and "bad" ip addresses. Like, if two players click on the flag at the same time, the player with the "better" ip address gets it first. It might be related to that, I'm not sure.

Yes, that sig was annoying.

[*:1lftx80p]A stacked team A team has more good players than the other team. There are many kinds of stacks: ancient stack (much more ancients), click stack (all clickers in one team), sad stack (a team is so much stacked that its pathetic). A stacked team usually wins.

[*:1lftx80p]Antistack A group of players that play against a stacked team and are aware of the high chances of losing. They are the Good guys. These players will say nice stack when they lose, and lol nice stack when they win.

[*:1lftx80p]A stacker A player that stacks or a player that always wins. Calling someone a stacker is as bad as calling someone a pc product.

[*:1lftx80p]a click skilled cw players have a good click: they can pick up the standard faster than others when its dropped. There are loads of rumors around about what things affect ones click. Can also mean a mans certain body part.

[*:1lftx80p]a clicker a player with a good click

[*:1lftx80p]ip changer, iper - a player who believes changing your ip affects your click. Widely used of all players who have a good click. Changing to a good ip is said to take hours, but many argue that ip has no effect on a player's click. Go figure.

Don't ask me what an ip is, I'm no internet geek. :geek:

IP or IP Adress stands for Internet Protocol. When you connect to the internet you are given an IP adress as an unique identifier to which computer you are on the global computer network that we call "the internet".

I suppose if something happens simultaneously on Runescape, the person with the lower number on their IP is allowed to do something first - or at least that's what some may believe (I doubt it myself, however). An IP adress doesn't have to be static either, so you can change it as long as the IP adress is available.

The IP address that is given to a computer is what it connects to the ISP with. The ONLY way an IP could affect your connection is if your IP given by your ISP expires (usually 24h).

Essentially, make sure you reset your internet once a day!
