Saints Row 2 Will change Gaming

das

Recommended Posts

Hello Eveyone, I am going to start the arguement saints row 2 will change gaming forever with superior gameplay, story lines and push the limits for sandbox games that change gaming for the next decade.

The Original saints row was highly underrated with a superb story, a quality aiming system and interesting and good mini-games. Of the new features in the new sequal, It looks like it could change gaming forever.

Here is a blurb of confirmed diversions doesnt include the minigames.

These diversions include 35 'barnstorming' missions, 50 CDs to buy from music stores, 32 secret areas within the city to find, 80 stunt jumps, and 50 areas that you can tag up with paint cans. You can also drive an ambulance to save victims, put out fires as a fireman, pimp yourself out as a [bleep], tow vehicles for cash, and drive a taxicab. Not content to stop there, you can also perform drive-bys, flash people (trench coat and all), robbery, mugging, poker, racing, streaking, and even play a game called "Zombie Uprising" on your game console in your safe house."

Flamethrowers, Shock Paddles, Stealing waste disposal trucks and flinging poo with a great storyline.

I cant wait. :P

i've been excited about this game since i heard about it, i fully enjoyed the first one, and you had me at

flash people (trench coat and all)
and
flinging poo with a great storyline

also, i'm glad that this will have the things that gta4 is missing, mainly the ambulance/fire truck missions and the like. if saints row 2 has a forklift that i can lift the tines on, so i can flip cars, i'll be happy. i was soooo pissed when i found a forklift in gta4 and i couldn't do anything with the tines. i think it was gta:sa that you could move the tines on forklifts. i could drive around for hours coming up to people at stop lights and lifting them up and carrying them to a cliff and dropping them, or flipping them on the spot, or dropping on another car, or dropping on people. you get what i mean. now if only i could do this with the forklifts at work...

I think its far from being a GTA Clone, it's sandbox, the similarities honestly stop there. You are in charge of a gang and can have Co-op buddies play the game with you and do the mission or recruit cpu homies with actual AI.

The fact is in GTA you cannot run a business. The Story in saints row is much better and actually has a very good plot.

It's a far superior game to GTA.

Asides. GTA doesnt have a zombie minigame thats in a different fully 3d map that is a game in itself.

i want it, i have gta4 and i haven't even beaten it yet, although i'm pretty close. it's like gta, but different, i like variety in my games, just like all the rpg games, same thing rehashed differently with a different plot and title, and people buy loads of those, myself included.

We live in a post GTA world. The way i see saints row is the first endeavour into next gen crime sandbox and we loved it because we thought that this couldnt get any better.Well GTA4 pretty much took back the genre on release.Saints Row captured the GTA players mindshare because people saw it as a "clone".

However the first screenshots, videos etc for saints row 2 was awful. Why am i watching trailer trash beat up a hobo and why does it look worse than saints row 2?yeah the PR was dismal. The blurb you qouted isnt an epiphany for gaming, it dopes sound like san andreas with paint tags, heck it actually sounds more like the tony hawk underground games.

Its nice to see an open world game which has some comedic elements, GTA4 took a more serious tone and i like it for it and its nice to see saints row 2 try and fill a niche, but its not going to change gaming.

It's going to be good, it's going to be what GTA IV should of been. But it's not going to change gaming, I think you're over-hyping this game a tad too much. Alot of the features you noted with in GTA:SA. Oh wow, it has some 3d arcade game you play in the game, I don't care if I'm honest, I'm not buying the game for that. It has alot of cool little mini-games (like flashing, drive bys, etc etc) yea, but nothing truely amazing. I will enjoy the co-op alot though, really wish GTA had that.

As for GTAIV, it's a great game on it's own, very well made, very well thought out (belive it or not) and has great gameplay and the online is pretty good.

But it's not a real GTA, GTA's are about blowing crap up, killing people with chainsaws, crazy stunts and just damn right crazy stuff, the realistic route with Rockstar took wasn't really what the fans were looking for. SR2 is going to have alot of the features old GTA's had, but I'm not hyped over it like I was with GTAIV (Was slightly disapointed with the result, but I still find it fun online). But never the less, roll on release day, should keep me occupied till one of the most expensive months in gaming this year, November!

Grand theft auto. It's not going to change gaming. It's grand theft auto, only less gritty. That's what grand theft auto started out as, but now they're leaning towards actual storylines and in-depth characters. I played saints row one, and it was a fun game, particularly for multiplayer, but it's just another in the growing sandbox games.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

So its just got alot of features that the Grand Theft Auto series has?

Yeah, a real change to gaming there.

Saints Row had multiplayer before GTA did

Didn't San Andreas come out before Saints Row?

Yeah he lives in a world where the people sat next to you cant play the game.I have to say that GTA did a way better job with the multiplayer than saints row did...but GTA's multiplayer community died waaaayyy quicker than saints rows did.

The thing that sucks about this age is how difficult it is to make something marketable and brand new. Because there are games that are just out there. But they are hardly marketed, hardly bought, and hardly found. You have to really find the middle ground, or else have a gimmick that basically brain[bleep]s people into buying it and starting a new genre.

I miss when you could make a wheel and be famous.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
