Well, I've been in a band with a 2 of my really good friends since last December. We have 1 (ONE) guitarist, 1 (ONE) Bassist/Vocalist, and 1 (ONE) drummer. I play drums in this band. We started recording/mixing this demo in the last week in June. It is a 4 song demo and will hopefully be released in the next 2-3 weeks. We recorded with a guy who is quite a professional at this type of thing. He has been in a band that played in Los Angeles and usually takes trips out to California to mix bands. He also owns two music stores in the Twin Cities area. Anyways, the deal is, we would appreciate to get a larger listening/fan base, and I thought this might be a good place to get the word out. I'm not asking for you to buy a copy of our demo, but if you have a MySpace, please add us and give the 2 songs we have up a listen to. If you have any criticisms, please do so via PM. sounds pretty good. but it seems to me your singer could use growl lessons. or maybe the sound of my speakers isnt good, but overall ITS GREAT

It's pretty good. I'm not a fan of metal vocals, but the guitar/bass/drums were pretty awesome.

Yeah he has only been doing it for a small amount of time, he's getting a lot better than he used to be.

Wow, that was actually pretty good, but I thought the Drums were a bit over-powering on Force Fed Lies and drowned out the guitar. Black Veil was good though and I couldn't here anything wrong with the vocals. The vocals remind me a bit of Carcass...

I rather... really like you guys! i love Black Veil! love the style of vocals too! if he could practice KEEPING that exact style of growl, but cleaning it up a bit, making it smoother and cleaner you guys would be even better.

 

 

 

As said, the growl is still rough, but with some work, he has real potential!

 

As for the instrument, i really like the drums, he is pretty good, keeps a steady good speed double kick along with beats all around.

 

The guitar sounds pretty basic, and not very technical, but only time will make that better.

i like that style of vocals more than i like the more distorted singing from bands like behemoth, i only listened to black veil, and my only minor criticism is that the song seemed to have a fairly slow pace to it.

Sounds pretty good. Your drumming sounds good, too. Good luck with everything.

Both of these songs have the potential to be great. And so does your band. That was friggin awesome for a group that hasnt even been together for a year, wow.

 

 

 

It only needs some fine-tuning, ie the singer needs a bit of help. Also maybe add another guitarist or bassist and give the singer only 1 job. :D

I'll talk to the other guys in the band, but for now they will not be available for download, unfortunately.
