September 19, 200817 yr I was thinking of putting windows onto my xbox 360. I just wonder if it's possible and if so how! :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWxv79Hq2Jg\
September 19, 200817 yr I don't know much about that, but I'm sure it would void your warrenty, so be careful.
September 19, 200817 yr I know i have done it on the ps3. I know when i did it on the ps3 you need to use a x86 emulator because the ps3 is ppc. A good one to use if you need to know is bochs.

He might have been emulating a OS that runs on x86 architecture as you can sue it on the psp as well.
September 19, 200817 yr As a general rule, if you have to ask no you cannot do it. Installing windows on a PS3/ Xbox 360 is possible, but it requires lots of time, effort and a large number of separate emulators. Even if you do get it to boot, it is still nothing more then a novelty - it runs far to slowly to do any real work due to all the layers you need to get it working, even the mouse lags. While it is technically possible, it is done mostly as a fun project and not as anything that will work practically.

It is just the fun of going though the trouble of getting on there and learning and say i have been there and done that. Possibly that is what he wants as that is why i did it. Also it is so as hell too or at least on the ps3 it is. I personally think linux runs ok on the ps3 as linux requires alot less system wise as apposed to windows. You could possibly try installing linux on your xbox360.

There is no way vista can run on an xbox360. You just made my day. That's got to be the funniest thing I've ever heard -- Vista on a 360. Anyway, while I'm pretty sure it couldn't void your warranty (what, does Microsoft have a vendetta against itself? It's practically running SOME version of Windows, for God's sakes), it wouldn't serve much purpose beyond proof-of-concept. It's not powerful enough to handle typical day-to-day tasks of the average computer user.
