Help with a lost account????

I have no idea what to do in this means. First off the account isn't fully lost. I quit playing runescape about a year ago. Was way to busy with work started up java development along in some other software fields. But, it was brought to my attention that a kid who use to come to my house every once in awhile who was friends with my little sister somehow got my password. He waited till i was pretty much done with my account. Well then he stole it. And i guess someone stole it from him and the vicious cycle went on and on. Well a friend brought this to my attention because i moved about 50 miles away from where i lived then.

 

 

 

Well i managed to recover the account. All my stuff was pretty much gone, which isn't that big of a deal. I don't mind that part. There are so many new updates to keep me busy till i take a break again. Then i tried talking. I then found out that i was permently muted. When i stopped playing i think i had one mark against me. And it was because i accidently promoted this site to help out someone who was new to the game. Well i can't post in the forums or anything because i guess i got banned from them. I looked at the evidence and that how i found out that my account was stolen. I can't contact any mods or anything. I'm like a ghost in the game, which is no fun at all. Specially with all these updates :(.

 

 

 

Can anyone help me out here, i mean im able to prove who i am and that wasn't me very easily but i don't even know who to contact or how to contact anyone in that matter.

Nope, no way to contact them, your stuck, although it would be nice if they heard your plea.

Yeah i know that's what i was afraid of. yeah that would be nice too. I think it was easier for me to contact the gov't then them haha. I mean i would settle if they just gave me 9.0 against me and not 10 lol. Just enough, bc i know i played the game accordingly. Although i can image the hate msgs id get. The evidence they had was stuff i wouldn't even say to someone i didn't like.

Do you have a stats pic or anything?

 

Because unless you had some good stats id suggest just starting over.

Yeah lvl 104 look up dayv2005.

 

 

 

87 magic.

 

83 range.

 

81 Attack.

 

77 Def.

 

83 Str.

 

84 HP.

 

 

 

Those are just my combat stats. Couple others are 80+

 

 

 

That's why i don't want to start over. That was a lot of time spent.

Safe yourself a endless battle and just start over. Make a new account. yes your account is pretty briliant as it is now, but with you being away so long starting over should be fun. It gives you time to get used to all the new updates. If you dont want to start over i guess quickchat is your only option :lol:

I'm kind of in the same position as you but i actually did break the rules (mrr) but didn't get my account stolen. So kinda abit different dno why i said that. I'm permantently muted. I had 95 strength when i got muted and now am 282k xp from 99 strength. To be honest, quickchat isn't that bad, it's just the personal things you can't say like, if your going on a holiday or something. You will be suprised how easy it is to play runescape without being able to speak now that the Grand Exchange is here. No speaking required. I'd just stick with the muted account. Also i don't know how to contact Jagex - maybe make a new account and send a message to them on that regarding the muted account? I don't know sorry.

So what is this quick chat? And would i still be able to buy things from people? Like off of the forum? How will i do that?

The old way of trading through forums is gone now.

 

 

 

People now trade using a item-trade place called the grand exchange.

Also, Quick chat is not for forums, but ingame it gives you a list of predefined sentences and phrases all players (included those who are muted can say). Hit the enter key on your keyboard (while playing RS) to have the options show up.

 

 

 

One more thing, Jagex from time to time does mute cleanouts, where people who are muted have a chance to appeal and possibly reappeal their mute. Keep an eye out for these in the future as you might be able to eliminate your mute that way.

I was perm muted once and quit rs for a year and a half because that was before Qc. I then used my last chance after a year and a half and it got accepted.

cant even contact them anymore...a bit sad really, i was given 10 black marks with literally no evidence, and it was a rule 1 offense lol....

As for last chance, no i don't think? how would i know if i could? It basically wont let me appeal or anything just saying you are permently muted. I'm remember back in the old days people could swear all the time. Of course people reported them. But no one ever got in trouble. I thought the reporting system was broke. lol

well bud you can try appealing some of the offences but it likely wont do anything. so just settle for perm mute or make a new acc is all you can do :(

Wow muted people can use quickchat?! This is a no-brainer. Keep the account and hope that you run into a sympathetic mod eventualy.
