Iron knives at Avansies?

Featured Replies

I'm lvl 76 range and have been killing Avansies at the GWD. I've been using a rune c'bow and mith bolts for a while but have some iron knives sitting in my bank. Just wondering if it would be faster to kill them with the knives?

Thanks.

Dont do that, just use them at yaks or stick with c'bow at avianses...

Also when you ranging them, get broad bolts, not mith...cheaper and better

If you're going to use knives, then use mith, addy or rune. I've heard that rune knives can yield faster kills than broad-tipped bolts.

Any sort of weak, low cost equipment (bone bolts, low level knives, etc.) is pointless for aviansies on account of their excellent drops. The faster kills you get from using better ammo allows for more profit overall.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Rune knives aren't that bad, I've seen many people using it.

If you're going to use knives against them, at least use mith+

If you can get em poisoned, even better. ::'

iron knives will simply not hit well enough on aviansies, you need to find somethign with very low def for knives..
