Without knowing how to do diddly sqat (no offence to punk age or quer, but your tutorials didnt help me where I needed it. They gave me many ideas though, so thank you) I made this...

where exactly did you need help at then.. i'd try to help you if i can.

Id say use more reference pictures, you can just tell that you drew that of the top of your head (You can't honestly say you looked at an actual person in that position with an outcome like that).. If you want it to be cartoony look at existing cartoons instead of drawing from nothing, its the biggest mistake anyone makes when it comes to drawing.. With a lot of practice you'll become used to drawing naturally and you won't need reference pics, then, and only then can you try be more original.. But don't simply copy, interlink your own original style but reference positions, expressions and layout.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Quer skull is excellent with shading but don't rely totally on his technique, it only really works if you want a deeper, more lifelike picture.. So as I say try and move away from simply preschool characters and try something that requires more skill, but I wouldn't be sure if you could hack it with that quality.. :)

i'm truley not disapointed that you guys think that it blows. I dont really mind, because honestly, I drew a circle, some lines, and colored it in. It's all I could do from pulling it out of my behinde. Not much else to say, but i'll be looking for as much as possiable.

I took terley's advice and used a referance picture. The shading isnt perfect, still needs work. I think it's about 70% better. Still is basic, but better.

Hmm... its an interesting Style you have their. The egg heads are fairly funny, don't know if you ment to do that or not, but i think it gives the character style lol.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Good luck on the shading. You can probaly see how its shaded in the picture, so try and work from that.

What in the hell? Runescape...Isn't a refferance pic. At least, it's a really bad refferance. Refferance pictures are usualy, I dunno, Real life pictures? Good lord, there's this thing...Called anatomy. It's nice, you two should meet up sometime.

the key to it is practice.

It5's ahrd to practice without basic artistic knowledge.

Ofcourse you had basic artistic talents when you were born, hence why your now a good pixeler.

Some people are less fortunate and dont have all the drawing skills. Like me I have a life, a real one, and I cant draw anything! It's terriable. I tried a crack at pixeling and i gaurentee you it's about 1,000 times better then I could draw
