Baulders Gate 2 (PC).

Planetscape: Torment

Those are the two that come to mind first.

Fallout 1 and 2.

If your looking for something RPG ish but with a slant to it, try either heroes of might and magic 3 or 5. They both have RPG elements but with strategy elements too.

Heroes 5 was a huge disapointment, The best are 2 and 3. Either way they are just Turn-based strategy games, not really an RPG.

Elder scrolls 4: Oblivion is supposed to be very good, not tried it myself though.

Set your colors to 16-bit, if I run the game on 32-bit the colors are weird. I've also had the game go all crazy with the colors, but this was a bigger issue with Fallout 1. I just pressed F1 to bring up the help menu and it went back to normal.

Also, make sure to patch the games before you play.

http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php for the patches. Make sure to get the official patches and killap's unofficial patch for Fallout 2. It's absolutely necessary if you want to enjoy the games.

Diablo/Diablo 2 is good. Eight years later, there's still a modding community that's active.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

I assume by isometric view you mean top down view. Not many, if any at all, modern RPG games do this anymore. But there's still some good games out there.

The Witcher. Seriously one of the best RPG's I've ever played. Plus they just released an updated version of the game which adds more content and fixes up most of the bugs. You actually have to think about the choices you make instead of choosing the 'good' and 'evil' choices that most games force on you.
