October 9, 200817 yr It's all because of these tv programs, they've manage to shift the image of the "perfect" woman from size 0 models, to size 12-20's(I think). Then all the women who don't fit into this bracket get shunned and critised. TV, just shows how it can get peoples minds to all think the same thing. Those with a little bit of knowledge are more dangerous than those with none.
October 9, 200817 yr An enlightening read. I did not know that their was such a problem. I have only ever heard about fat people getting picked on, not the other way around. Now my personal preference as a man: Greater than Anorexic, less than Whale. Oh- and must have a personality I can actually get along with, and come to love. The word love is used far too often with a sexual connotation, my idea of love is something else entirely. Seriously, thats about it on my standards, I put allot more stock in some ones personality than their physical appearance (ok downright ugly like hooked nose or beak face may be taken into consideration in the girl friend category). That said if they smell bad all the time, it counts against them considerably. There are things you can do about BO, if you care to try. But just a week ago I electronically measured my body fat % and it's 10.5%, so that really doesn't add up... It must be broken or miscalculating.. Edit- nevermind, it has a disclaimer... Explains the inconsistency, been using the gym for some 8 years now..
October 9, 200817 yr In my opinion, it doesn't matter. Although I'm not the dating kinda guy, I don't really care that much what they look like. Sure, a "skinny" girl could be seen as the sexier one, but from what I've seen, generally they're the most stuck up. I know a decent about of girls with good personalities with varing weights and I see a better personality from a girl who is what some consider overweight. I'd rather look to the future and see some happy little Monkeyguy Jr's that having a loving mother and father :) , than have kids who don't get as much love from a stuck up mother :( . I can say that I'm thin, but that's only because I have a good matabulism (bad spelling), and without that, I would be considered an overweight guy. Another way to look at the whole good looking/skinny thing is that 2 people go out. The guy is only dating her because she's "hot" and when he sees the next hotter girl, then he breaks it off with his current girlfriend and jumps to the next. It goes on till the hottest two hook up and there is no love, just attraction. They may have kids, but probably have a higher chance of divorce. Feel free to disagree with me, because that's just my perspective and I cannot speak for everyone ;) .
