Does it increases my chances of getting rune armour drops at monsters? Or dragon items? Or just high level runes? "We had gay burglars the other night. They broke in and rearranged the furniture." SHIELZZZ69 Posted October 10, 2008 Share Posted October 10, 2008 According to Kent's slayer guide this is what a RoW does. Drops from monsters are like a roulette wheel. But the numbers are items - theres are two roulette wheels. One with diamonds and herbs and lame stuff then the second with the rarer items. A RoW gives you a better opportunity to get a better item on the SECOND wheel. That was just from memory of reading his guide. Don't know if its true. 99 Strength Achieved 26/9/08. L0L in 3 years I've made 7m. In the past 2 days I've made 7.2m on top of that thanks to Bounty Hunter. So why play for 3 years when you can do that? Well, still, I think it's a huge placebo that thing, but I don't wear anything in my ringspot, so I try, and hope I will run into some rare items :pray: "We had gay burglars the other night. If you can - buy a berzerker ring because of the strength bonus but don't die with it because you don't get it back in your 3 items. Tim_Tam_Tan_Tien Posted October 10, 2008 Share Posted October 10, 2008 Basicly Its like this : The drops are place on a roulette wheel ( we shall call this R#1 ), on R#1 there are the common drops such as herbs, gems coins etc. There is also a place on this wheel that when landed upon gives acess to the second roulette wheel ( R#2 ) which contains rare drops such as a whip dragon items etc. Also on R#2 there are "Nothing Zones", landing on one of these makes it so even though you've spun onto R#2 you still dont get anything rare. Now the Ring of wealth doesn't increase the chance of landing upon the R#2 access. It increases the chance of receiving an item once you have spun R#2, or decreases the chance of landing on a Nothing zone......Its pretty hard to explain i need pictures or something. Sunli Posted October 10, 2008 Share Posted October 10, 2008 Please regard what Jagex' explains them self in their knowledgebase regarding The Ring of Wealth, instead of listening to rumours: What power does the ring of wealth give you? The ring of wealth increases the chance of getting a rare drop when you kill a monster. You will never get items that are not normally dropped by that monster (e.g. a dragon medium helmet from a chicken) but you may get something that the monster seldom drops. Things like Treasure Trail rewards and Barrows rewards, which aren't monster drops, are not affected by the ring of wealth. So, the only thing the ROW does is to increase the chanse of getting a rare [like shield left half, d med, half keys, Draconic Visage, dragon armour, etc]drop that the monster already have the potential to drop. cat666 Posted October 10, 2008 Share Posted October 10, 2008 Did a task of Black Demons last night. 1 rune spear was the best drops I had, realised I still had my Warrior Ring on, which I only really have for Dark Beast tasks. Usually I use a wealth and get 4-5 rune drops of med/chain. I have another of task of them now, and have switched to a wealth so will let you know how it goes. Trust the Gene Genie! I did a task last night in Chaos Tunnels and got 3 Rune Chains and 1 Rune Med using Warrior Ring. Don't go there because they drop little to no charms compared to the CT black demons. Also I'd wear the wealth on every task because it does help you getting a rarer rare. It gives you a better chance of getting a visage or something over something rune. Wear it on every task.
